There has been a time when my husband and I were strapped for money and I came and talked to them and let them know what was going on and they we're understanding and set up an alternate payment plan for the month! The staff is very professional and friendly!

Checked out the apartments early in the year. I want to say February of March. I really liked their new units. I didn't need to move for 3 months, and was told I could have the pick of a unit in the new buildings. Picked a unit in a building that I was told would be finished a month or more before I needed to move in. A month or so out, I started getting nervous as the building didn't look even close to finished. I called the office, and was assured it would be done on time. A couple of weeks later, same thing. The office insisted it would be done on time, even though it was clear to anyone that it would not. I wound up extending my lease on my 2 bedroom apartment which my roommate had already moved out of, taking a big financial hit, and started looking for another apartment. Unfortunately, it was fairly late in the year, and most everything had been booked up, or was going faster than I could get it. I got a random call from the office a few weeks later asking me how much they told me rent would be. I said $675, they said I was lucky because they had set the rates wrong and were now charging over $700. Very odd call. 5 days before my move in date, they admitted the apartment wouldn't be done on time, even though this was obvious for months. They said they had an alternate unit I could move in. Checked it out. It faced James River freeway and a huge muddy construction site. The noise was deafening. I told them no, I'd wait it out. A month later, they advised me the apartment would be done on X date. I got my movers set up early that morning, and got my keys. This was all two days before I had to go on a 2 week business trip. That morning, we had my old apartment halfway loaded, and I get a call saying that the apartment I chose would not be ready until that evening, and I had to wait or move into the alternate apartment, facing the highway and construction. The movers wouldn't wait, so I had to move into the awful apartment. Don't trust these people.

!The bad experience starts when you get quoted a ridiculously high number for rent each month. We paid $732 a month for a two bed room, PLUS a $300 pet fee, not deposit, just to have a pet there, plus $15 "pet rent" per month. We love our dog and figured we could live with this. First observation - no one in this complex picks up their dog poop, so be prepared to literally step in it EVERYWHERE. If you need anything fixed, the maintenance is extremely lazy and does the bare minimum. Many neighbors we lived around never left their apartment, threw cigarette butts on our porch and there was no way they made the required 3x rent. I heard murmurs that they accept people on welfare, and after living next to some of the trashy-est people ever, I believe it. Good thing we were paying over $700 a month! We also had a hit and run occur in the parking lot and had to buy completely new parts at our expense because the office "didn't have the time" to look on the footage to see who had hit our car. We had the nosiest neighbors above us, who would continually wake us up from a dead sleep at 3am, either with their fighting or allowing their dogs to completely rampage in their apartment. We followed the protocol of calling a patrol when this happened, and received a call from the office for complaining too much, stating "we didn't know what it was like because we never had upstairs neighbors before this". The office offers excuses for everything and while they appear nice, they are really only in it for the money. When we went to check out, we were told we would have to pay for new carpets because they smelled like pet dander. I informed them that it smelled like that when we moved in, and that there was no way our 6lb dog, who has hair, not fur, could cause that smell. They said we should have noted it when we moved in, however when we asked about it upon moving in, they stated that we didn't need new carpet since we had a pet moving in. Save your time and money and rent elsewher
