Variable, 6-Month, 9-Month, 12-Month
Moved here from out of state and signed a 6 month lease after talking with management on the phone. Agreed to sign after being told I can go month to month after the 6 months were up in order to purchase a home and not be locked in to a long lease. We have been here 4 months and have never been late on payment. No complaints against us. We are both in our 50's, no reason for any problems from us nor any proof. Now the offer has been rescinded. Recently called the owner which is Janine Berra, owner of JH Berra Construction Co. and owner of Terra West LLC.. She was polite at first. I explained my situation to her and she then told me that I was not being singled out. It's what the company had to do. Janine and the management does not realize that I am not their corporate slave and will not feed the machine after being lied to. At the moment I cannot recommend this apartment to anyone although I gave them a good reference and received credit for getting them another pawn into an apartment for them. I will talk to them one more time before I can see if my two month notice will bring any truth to this post. All I ask is that they fulfill their end of the agreement. I would have never moved here if I knew that I could not go month to month at the end of my 6 month lease. I even agreed to pay $1600 a month in order to do so. Janine Berra (owner), Lisa (management) and Ravae (management), do the right thing. All I want is the chance to buy a home without being pressured to sign or move out. One more thing, thanks to the internet for social media. My reference probably agrees to this fact. I will follow up later and give a final review and rating.
