Canvas Townhomes Columbia

I love living in canvas townhomes because the staff is always quick and very helpful. The front office always greets you with a smile and tries to remedy any problem. A real standout I met is Jada Montgomery. She is a very bright and helpful personality and always goes the extra mile!

NEVER LIVE HERE! While Canvas Townhomes gave me a place to live while I was a Mizzou student, they totally conned my brother and I when it came time to move out. They charged fees against us that had nothing to do with the spotlessly clean unit we returned to them. Not to mention, I was charged for the furniture in my personal room when I did not ever receive a nightstand and dresser for my unit. Countless work orders were sent in during my time at Canvas to receive these pieces of furniture my signed lease said I would obtain, but I had to live two years without these basic means because they simply did not want to supply them. Also, in a townhome with three occupants, I was the only one who was charged for communal space "repairs" while my roommates did not have any of these associated charges on their bills. As a unit, we do not feel these charges were warranted because the unit was returned in better condition than how we received it on move-in. Additionally, we were also never able to address any problems with the Canvas Townhomes Office or with any higher administration in attempt to reach an agreement together because they did not return a single phone call or email after we received our move-out statements. Without hesitation, Canvas referred us to collections, proving that they genuinely don't care about their college-age inhabitants and that the company is full of shady characters looking to take advantage of people. The five-star evaluations that surface for this business are incentives for current residents to win giveaways; they don't really convey how they truly feel about the business.

DO NOT LIVE HERE The place is so bad and they don't take care of anything. Took 5 months for me to get my refund check and they are just terrible. I hated it and the day we moved in the floor was legit rotting out the bottom

Copper Beech has been the worst place I have lived. The neighbors are very loud and the walls are paper thing. However, the biggest issues stem from maintenance and management. For starters, my air conditioner has been out now for 3-4 days and I have called multiple times, but no one has even come to look at it. Their first excuse was the maintenance person was off then it was too muddy for them to even look. This is the second time my air conditioner has quit working here, the first time my apartment got up to 95 degrees. Again, I had to call MANY times before it was fixed. My shower has been leaking since I moved in about a year ago and each time they fix it it just seems to get worse. Upon moving in, my roommate and I noticed the carpet has pet hair embedded in it as well as just sitting on top of it, along with the washer and dryer being covered in pet hair. We were assured it had all been cleaned, but after multiple complaints they finally recleaned the carpets for us... except it still looks the same. Our garbage disposal and dish washer have never worked properly, again after multiple maintenance visits. In all, I can say that maintenance does not seem to care about the tenants.. but then again, neither does management. My roommate and I moved in after graduating in a different city. We were told we would just need to call and they would meet us with the keys. The complex was open until 5pm that day, so as long as we were there before then it shouldnt have been an issue. Around 3-4pm that day we got a call that the office would be closing then because the person there wanted to go eat lunch with her family. Luckily, I was able to get her to stay until I got there, but my roommate was unable to get her key until later that week. I have sent multiple calls and emails that have gone unanswered. The most recent have been that the office has been closed and I have packages there and have gotten no response. To be fair, rooms are big and rent is cheap

Never had so much trouble just trying to rent somewhere. Given the runaround for 3 months. Offered one deal but nobody seems to know what that special was. Received a leasing agreement which I signed only for them to tell me it is no longer valid the day after I signed. Took a day off work and made an appointment with property manager who never showed. Had friends live here in the past that didnt like it. Current residents tell me nothing but bad things. Took a chance because I knew one of the agents. Regret my decision. Look elsewhere I implore you.
