We have lived here for 2 years and honestly I CANNOT WAIT to live elsewhere. For $1700 for a 1 bedroom a month, its not worth it. Heres why:
The latest front desk employee is completely useless... she is most concerned with redecorating the office than responding to resident emails and concerns. I have had multiple packages listed as handed directly to the front desk lost and she has either not responded to emails about it, or said she doesnt know anything about it. The manager of the apartment is friendly, but not a problem solver, she will apologize for problems but not actually do anything to fix them.
In the summer, the apartments are ridiculously hot even with AC blasting, in the winter they are freezing even with heat on.
You can hear every single thing that neighbors above, below and next to you are doing and saying. Management asks for proof, and even then does nothing.
The rowdiness of the neighborhood is increasing. We have called the police 5 times in the last year due to people screaming, physically fighting and pulling weapons outside our windows.
The building has been used by those who do not have homes in the area. The lobby has been trashed and the front entry way is often a sleeping order place for homeless people.
Residents pets often urinate in the elevators and front steps despites managements attempts to put policies in place to prevent this.
It is a beautiful building, close to some great restaurants but not worth it for the price.
I have been here 6mo and cannot wait for my lease to end. The building has virtually no insulation and is EXTREMELY loud. I have audio recordings of the neighbors downstairs where you can hear every word they are saying while I was simply sitting on my couch. It is like they are right in the apartment with you. There is animal urine stains on all the carpets in the common areas. The carpet in my unit was filthy when I moved in. When I talked with management they stated I needed to have proof of the noise, which I have. I asked for options to leave the apartment building and have yet to receive a response; which was a month ago I asked. Management controls the heat and air conditioning for the whole building. So spring time and fall are miserable because of the temperature changes. I am willing to share any audio recordings and pictures upon request so you can make a informed decision on whether to rent here.
Everything has been absolutely awesome and I would rate it excellent, but my air conditioning has been problematic and I'm beginning to think it's just a product of the central air infrastructure here. It's a shame because I struggle to sleep and it has tarnished my experience. They are working on getting it resolved...just hope it's something that can actually be fixed.
I gave a grade good. The reason for doing so has to do with the age of the building. The staff here really does try to good by tenets.
My needs are responded to quickly and go above and beyond for me.
