Love unit location, but lacking in functionality, such as only having one window that opens in the main living area, which is restrained to a few inches, even though it is located over the balcony and is not a safety risk. Balcony door has no screen and no ability to moderate how far open it is. So, we cannot just crack it for fresh air or leave it open in the summer, because then the bugs come in - like wasps which nest in our balcony rails. More to say, but there is a character limit.
Property is well built and conveniently located but the upkeep has suffered since a new management team took over. Cleanliness of common spaces has diminished and a few favorite perks (especially the Keurig coffee machine) have been taken away. Given the high rent, these changes seem really petty.
When I first moved in I loved it (July 2013)! Now I am counting the days until I am able to move. There are no amenities to speak of, the building smells horrible and is always rather dirty especially the property. The rent is that of a high end building and the feel of the building is anything but that. I was told it was pet friendly and truthfully it's not they just allow pets.
My experience has been largely positive - I have felt safe, comfortable, and pleased with my year at 36 park. A few areas for improvement:
1. No vent in the bathroom
2. Minimal closet space
3. PARKING ISSUES!!! Both people parking in assigned spaces and no guest parking
4. The hallways are really warm in summer
5. One channel available on fitness room equipment
6. Extremely high turnover in office staff
I would never have rented here knowing what I do now. I hear people walking, slamming their cupboards and hallway noise at all hours of the day. Not to mention the noise from the highway. Also, there is no parking for guests. People do not pick up after their pets; both inside and out. This place is extremely overvalued for the quality of living.
