I have been a resident for close to a year now and cannot say enough good things about Wilshire Wood! When I met Hope, the manager, she was so great and we hit it off so well that I knew that Hope would be a significant factor in why I chose to make it my home. She has made the building feel more like the Radisson than an apartment when you walk in. The decor is elegant and the interior/exterior are immaculate, despite the age of the units. If Ive had a maintenance issue Hope makes sure I have it handled as soon as possible! Shes warm and friendly and works her butt off at all hours! In fact, shes made Wilshire Wood HER home too and has been here with many of the tenants for years! I would HIGHLY recommend Wilshire Wood as your future home...and thanks to Hope for making me feel at home here.
Lived here 2 years, which was 2 years too long. Management was either nonexistent or overbearing, no in between. The "gym" is three machines in a closet sized room. The air conditioners only cool down the living room (have fun sleeping when it's 100 outside). The hot water broke 4 times in a month, in January. No compensation or explanation offered to the tenants. The manager of the property left notes on the doors constantly about "parking lot restriping" or "sweeping" which made it mandatory to leave the lot. In the winter, the "snow removal" was absolutely horrendous. The plow would drive in a circle around the parked cars, causing every driver outside to have to shovel out of their spots. They would never put down sand or salt on the parking lot so it was always slippery. The second you put in your notice to leave, they start showing your apartment with all of your belongings in it. Then, after you spend days on end cleaning the place in compliance with their "cleaning checklist" after moving out, they still charge you a "cleaning fee" when you get your security deposit back. Absolutely horrendous, worst rental experience of my life. Buy a house, it's cheaper and less of a headache.
Wilshire Wood offers a quiet intimate community. Choose a lovely one or two bedroom apartment home with a private balcony or patio, spacious living room (some with vaulted ceilings) and a cozy dining room right next to the kitchen. 1 block to park & ride. Express bus to downtown Minneapolis. Underground heated parking available. This property is smoke-free inside and out!
9-12 month lease terms available.
Application Fee: $45 per person.
