I wish I could give 0 stars! We moved in when the building was still under construction, so we expected some amenities to not be available for a while. But after 12 months of living there, nothing is available! There is no library, no restaurant/bar, no sauna, the pool was closed for 10 out of the 12 months we lived there, and there was never any kind of security guard like promised.
The amenities would have been one thing, but on top of that, the utilities ranged wildly every month. We lived in a one bedroom with a den, so we expected to pay about $100 month, give or take a bit monthly. However, one month we would pay $60 total and then the following month it was $180! When we asked what changed, no one could/would explain! One of our friends lived in a studio apartment and had months where she paid more than we did, even though she traveled 50% of the month.
The worst part about this place though, is the extremely poor management. Any question we had was dodged and took multiple calls/emails to resolve. There was never any communication about things happening in the building (like the pool closing, internet outages, or police presence in the building). They have an ever rotating staff because they keep firing people (remaining staff members would tell us, without any prompting). We had many issues with the property manager, so I hoped reaching out to the corporate office would solve things. It did not. Brian is just as bad as Liza and took equally as long to get a reply when dealing with him.
Do NOT want to sign a lease with this place. Keep looking, there are much better properties near the same location for better prices and with better management.
I had a great experience interacting with the sales manager Yvonne. The process of obtaining the lease and working with her, was smooth and her customer service was great; concierge services and employees are also very helpful; lead engineer Dan is doing his best and is always very friendly and diligent at his work. However, since moving in the first week of October, I've had three separate water issues (kitchen sink, dishwasher, and laundry washer) in my unit which is a studio. I was willing to look past the first issue, which was addressed quickly after being reported, but the additional issues in my second and third month of the lease started to cause me concern. I was concerned about the overall construction and quality of that construction given it being a completely new building and the amount of issues I already had. Additionally, the second issue was not solved for nearly a week and the third issue was not solved for over a week and just under ten days. During the second and third issue I was unable to use my dishwasher or laundry washer for over five days respectively. I am a simple individual who does not necessarily need extras, but given the price of these units, as a renter I expect the essentials to be of a certain quality and to work or have issues be addressed quickly. Additionally, I would hope the property manager would address issues specifically brought to their attention in a timely manner. However, this did not happen and is not happening. My emails have gone unanswered for over a week two different times since I brought my general concerns to their attention. Communication has been poor and I started to question whether renters are the priority. Ultimately, my overall experience has been tainted and though it began optimistically, I'm now disappointed.
