If there were a way to review with a minus 5, that is what I would give the management of this apartment building. I lived there for 5 years but when I moved out May 2018) was taken to the cleaners, as they say. If you rent from them, do not plan to receive your deposit returned. You will get charges for cleaning the carpet (which is against the law) and for maintenance cleaning of the apartment. I was charged for 5 1/2 hours of clearing at $50 an hour for a one bedroom apartment. I also had a charge on my bill for a little over $30 that was never explained to me what it was for. I questioned all of this when I received the little that was left of my deposit and asked for a detailed explanation, in writing, what time was spent on each cleaning job. I was put off for over 2 months and never received the explanation. It was my money they were taking and I should have been entitled to an listing of what it was used for. For all I know they could have gone out for cocktails and a nice dinner on my dollar. I would never trust this management company with my money again.
River gables is in a convenient location
The managers are slow to respond to residents complaints or maintenance issues
The maintenance man lives on the premises but its not always easy to reach him. He is very good at taking care of business when you are able to get ahold of him
The emergency phone is monitored by the office staff who are rarely here. A water leak that I called in on Saturday didnt get answered until Tuesday
When they are in they are usually on their cell phone and may take several minutes before they even acknowledge that you are waiting
The building has very good cleaning staff
Our rent in three years has gone up nearly 200.00 per month!
We are in the process of finding another place to stay in our budget
It looks like a great place to live am hoping to be able to live here
