I have lived at Willow Pond for a total of about 6 years. I've lived in a first floor unit facing the parking lot and now live in a third floor unit facing the pond. In my personal experience, this has been a great place to live. I've had minimal issues, and anytime I do bring something to the property manager or maintenance it is resolved in a timely manner. The office staff are all friendly - each time I interact with any of them the service is consistent. The maintenance staff are equally friendly. When it comes to the actual apartment, I have only ever been in their one bedroom. I have also looked at TONS of apartments in the area - spanning out from Bloomington to Eagan to Apple Valley, trust me, you're not going to get something this size and with this many amenities for the price. My favorite part of the Willow Pond Apartments would have to be the eat-in size kitchen. They also have ample closet space! If you have the means and opportunity to get a pond view, I totally recommend! I could sit there all day watching the wild life. Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt, from someone who has lived here for a while, I would totally recommend this place to everyone!
Let's make this fairly clear that the pictures that they display on these apartment websites aren't accurate to what the real apartments look like. IF you do decide to tour there, tour the apartment that you're going to be living in. My friend wasn't shown the actual apartment that they were going to live in. Whoever built the place clearly wanted to save a quick buck with it's cheap look. A rundown motel has more style and cleanliness from what I saw. The building that my friend lived in was made with paper thin walls and flooring, so you can hear everyone's voices, televisions, etc. My friend was a resident there for one year until they experienced the nightmare neighbors that lived below them. There would be the cries of a small toddler, loud rambling from a woman, slamming doors, and other noises. They had no issues with the neighbors beside them or across the hall. The noises from the neighbors below would be spontaneous, and it occurred the entire year that my friend resided here. They tried to seek help from the office, and even gave the office staff evidence of how loud these neighbors were. They would say that the same response, "We'll handle the situation." The problem was never resolved. It got to a point where these neighbors were breaking the quiet hours rule. No loud noises between 10pm-7am. Then there was the fact that prices for rent went over the roof. The building that my friend resided in was obviously not the most well maintained with the smell of foul odors in the halls and the paper thin walls and flooring. If you wish to reside here, double check where you will live and make sure it doesn't have noisy neighbors and foul odors.
As someone who has lived in two separate buildings at Willow Pond within about 4 years, reading some of these reviews was surprising. In my personal experience, both management and maintenance have always been quick to respond to any issues, very friendly, and nothing but professional. I absolutely love living here and have had nothing but positive experiences with both staff and neighbors. Ive looked at a lot of apartments in the area and this is the best value in my opinion. I have a one bedroom, the large kitchen is probably my favorite part. I also chose a pond facing view and have underground parking. They offer a party room for rental, a business center, a fitness room, and a newly added secure package room.
Got a call back from them an had a tour. I really like the place
The very idea that I would have to make 3x my rent in order to live in a tiny apt is ridiculous , I am renting not buying a house, every other place ask you to make twice your rent. Its not that great of a place
