This place should be avoided at all costs. The insulation is awful and they don't fix anything unless they are required too legally. Meaning, you'll be waiting quite some time unless it's an emergency repair. Their maintenance workers all smell like alcohol and cigarettes, and will walk dirt onto your carpet. A maintenance man lied on me and I am being charged $500+ in erroneous fees. Needless to say, the leasing agents are not worth their weight and provide zero assistance getting this resolved.

1 moved in January 2020. I had signed a lease for a year and a half. In that time of multiple filings of issues with apartment nothing was ever fixed till 2022. They would come in to do their regular inspections (in which they will walk all over your things in dirty shoes on carpet your expected to replace if damaged however.) But will be too busy to actually fix things. When it was attempted to be fixed in 2022 much after my lease had ended. It broke shortly after. I would say make sure you really video and document on move in and out. Because if not they will definitely screw you at end. Also I wouldn't recommend any correspondence through the mail or drop box because messages are often "lost" if you do mail I would take a photo of document so you have a time stamp of all correspondence just really make sure you cover your butt and read the fine print very carefully. Also upon move out notice expect them to enter the home with out 24 hour notice and to walk all over your moving piles because your moving out in three weeks and they now need to replace all the appliances they refused to fix and replace while they lived there because they were too busy with moving out other people to get ready for additional people maybe if they actually took care of the people who lived there people wouldn't move out. I would also say that at least in building 37 in the laundry room it will flood every time you do laundry so don't put anything on floor unless you want it gross wear pants that don't touch ground or when you go to dry your cloths you will be dragging your pants through about a quarter inch of water. Sometimes it will short out the washer when it floods. Also consider if you have a special needs dog once you say you're moving out any notes you left which were previously honored about needing notice to remove dog before they enter will not be. Could result in you having extra pet bills like e.r bills. For full review see yelp

I live in Building 19 and have been for three years. Recently, the owners of a light tan Pontiac Grand Prix and a dark blue Dodge Caravan decided that they don't want to park in the back parking spots anymore and now park wherever they wish. The fire lane despite signs saying not to. On the side lot making it difficult to maneuver your vehicle around them. So, what has The Village management done? Nothing. And that's The Village for you. Nothing gets done. Nobody pays attention. If you're inconvenienced, too bad. Deal with it. The problems with The Village is *your* problem. Can't afford brand new signs? Up the rent. Minor issues with utilities? Take care of it yourself or wait four months for a replacement that one can get at the local hardware store. Despite the fact that they claim this type of inconvenience won't be tolerated and the cars will be towed at the owners expense, that won't happen unless you make it happen. Thankfully, since these residents have impacted my standard of living and The Village management has seen fit to do nothing, The Village is now in breach of my contract. I'm now in the process of recording how long these vehicles are parked where they shouldn't be and Edward Rose will be hearing from my attorney when enough evidence is collected. I'm done with dealing with issues because management doesn't have the backbone. I'll see you in court.

Lived here for 7 years, updated review: The Village is a hole. You live here if you can't afford to live anywhere else, and the price to get in keeps going up. Maintenance staff has no experience in some cases, and work is always done on the cheap. Wood around windows is rotted, there is NO protection from sound in neighboring apartments. I've stopped calling the office & emergency maintenance for noise complaints because (although they will talk about 3 strikes & a resident is out) they NEVER DO ANYTHING. If they can't hear it from the hall with AC or heaters going, you're out of luck in your bedroom thumping with their bass. Apartments are renovated as residents move out so I'm sure new residents will have new appliances and cupboards that aren't mysteriously sticky, but if you're already here, they don't care. Plumbing & infrastructure is ancient. Windows are barely set in the frames, water leaks in all the time. MAINTENANCE DOES NOT CARE. Like hot showers? It'll be warm, yes. But 50/50 chance on hot. Laundry rooms are fine, unless someone has been dumping urine into the wash sink. (Wish I was kidding.) I have a cordial relationship with a few first responders in the area, and they all worry about me living here. The Village is WELL KNOWN to Wixom PD & EMS. Especially if you live in the interior of the complex. Going for a walk? Plan on being harassed regardless of gender or nationality. Downtown Wixom is lovely! The Village is not. So why am I still living here? Like I said, you live here because you can't afford to live anywhere else, especially with area rent going up. I'm sticking it out here & picked up a second job so I can save for a house. I remind myself of that every time my neighbors play that loud freaking music at all times of day. I guess living in this ghetto is the price I'll pay to get my own home.
