Infested with cockroaches, heating and cooling is horrible, lead paint, the office staff IS NOT HELPFUL. They act like you are stupid for wanting a nice apartment. I cant even explain how much I regret moving in.
HORRIBLE APARTMENTS! HORRIBLE STAFF! You will regret signing a lease! Any issues you may have will not be addressed and the staff is not only rude but extremely slow in handling any issues.
Are you kidding me? I was just inquiring as to the cost for a furnished unit and the woman was so rude. I could not get a strait answer out of her. I didn't want to give them any stars but it was the only way to let others know. Run!
Been here 18 yrs. New owners raised rent,took away Military discount. NOW BUG PROBLEMS. NEVER GAVE NEW CARPET OR PAINT WALLS IN ALL TH YEAR'S. I COULD CRY BUT THERE R LT OF PLACES.
Moving to Clarkston MI when lease is up.
The office staff is rude and whenever an issue in my application arose, they would take days to figure out what the issue was. I had also specifically asked questions during the tour that were explicitly contradicted by the lease. They also have outrageous insurance requirements. They require triple the liability as most other complexes and require that you put them as additional interest. This is highly suspect as renter's insurance is designed to protect the resident's property and not the complexes. That is why they have their insurance. Another complex said that while they would prefer to be an additional interest, but as long as they could check that the policy was active (which I offered to the complex) it would be accepted there. The Gables insisted I take their highly questionable renters shield instead of my highly regarded and established insurance company. One of the apartments we toured had peeling paint and mold. The second one was much nicer, so I apparently didn't think about the state of the first one when I applied.... my mistake. My advice, look elsewhere with a complex that will take care of you and not ask for anything questionable, especially if they are trying to sell you anything like this complex does with renter's insurance.
