Poor customer service, unexpected charges ever month, things are fixed after 6 months; James the community manager is nothing helpful, the same for the others in the office. This new management just came to make a mess.
Nice employees, great location, beyond belief of poor service on everything else.
Lived here for 5 years, the service of the new landlord that took over the past year were brutal and beyond belief. My lease ended and I left.
Comments you read on other negative reviews are most likely true. I sadly experienced some of it also.
1) I moved out in August 2018; afterwards several calls and in person visits, still no apologies of delay for my security deposit, not one single follow up call, still have not received security deposit. Sadly, now I am awaiting court date to resolve the issue (its October now). Waste of my time and effort to resolve a simple issue.
2) May 2018, Northville had abnormal amount of rain, the ceiling leaked in the bedroom and kitchen. I issued online maintenance request to correct it. They came a few week later and measured the kitchen and left. The maintenance request was closed. Probably because my lease was ending soon and they didnt care. When I left the apartment the ceiling had several larger brown stains. At least they recognized my maintenance record and didnt charge me the security deposit for it. Keep your maintenance record!!
3) April 2018, the toilet flushed every approximately 3 hours because the flapper was warped. Easy fix right? Put in a maintenance request online at 5:00am, the item closed at 5:07am. I thought they would come. Issued second time. Same thing. They never came. I paid $3.18 for a flapper from Lowes.
4) April 2018, the water boiler didnt turn on, issued maintenance request on Thursday. They didnt come till Monday. Cold shower for 3 days. They replaced parts and left a mess for me to clean. At least I was the lucky few that received the service.
Theres more like leaky draft from window seals and other basic things that never gotten taken care of. the above were just my most memorable service that I received with the new landlord handling me as a tenant.
They constantly fail deliver and thats best explanation. When I moved in I had to wait 2 hours because they were still carpet cleaning, and then I got to deal with wet carpet while moving in. The washer/dryer combo was broken upon my move in and it took them a month to get a new one. Maintenance requests go unresolved or take ridiculous amounts of time to be addresed. Avoid this place.
Very impressed with several members of the property management team, including Amanda. She has been consistently awesome! While I do not expect perfection with the rental experiences, I will offer Amanda has been both proactive and timely in resolving any questions or concerns. I highlight her because she has been my primary contact.
If you have a problem she will most likely resolve your problem, but also end up two steps ahead of you. She has demonstrated the propensity to be a resident advocate; while also being extremely fair. You may not agree with her resolution, but you will walk away thinking wow that was fair.
The property has taken an amazing transformation during the last three months. I hope the transformation and outstanding resident service continues as I love the location and my neighbors.
I began renting a 1 bedroom apartment here in February 2018 and it has been a stressful and unpleasant experience.
Random charges have shown on my monthly rent and it has taken months for them to reimburse me.
I had a big bug problem with spiders, rollys, and other small insects. I eventually purchased my own indoor/outdoor bug killer and sprayed the apartment myself, even though I pay a monthly pest fee.
Maintenance has not fixed any of my issues on the first try (3x for toilet and 4x for a broken AC in mid summer for over a week) and it is difficult to get a hold of anybody in that department.
It appears that they have increased rent for many current residents. The new rent for my 1 bedroom is over 1250 which is more than a $100 increase. I will not renew my lease when the time comes and unfortunately I would not recommend this complex to anybody. Instead I would suggest they do not rent here.
