Hunter Lansing Properties landlord is an usurer. The management suspends your internet service at 12 am on the second of the month and charge you a $50 fee if you don't pay your rent by the first of each month. Internet service is monopolized. You cannot have another internet service company but the one they provide. Besides the $50, they will charge you $2 for each day (this is not in the leasing contract). Every so often they create a new payment to get your money. On second day the harassment begins. First with emails and on the fourth day they put a fake notification on the door that appears to be a lawsuit. In this supposed court document they threaten with an eviction. You have to cover the costs of their lawyers. The harassment continues: on the fifth day of the month they send a maintenance worker to your apartment. He knocks on your door and yells at you to pay the rent. The harassment continues day after day. Meanwhile, Hunter Lansing does not ensure the safety and healthy conditions of the building. There is pets feces around and inside the building. They have not changed the filters of the furnaces for a year. And to fix an issue in your apartment it can take weeks or months. Staff always rude with no options to help residents. Some examples of improper service are slipping the demand under tenants door, leaving the demand outside door, attaching the demand to the tenants property, or mailing the demand by methods that require a signature. Where are the local authorities and inspectors? Advice: AVOID THIS PLACE.

I believe that landlord, employees, and managers need more training and better communication with tenants. Even if you have to pay $70 a month for internet service, the company Hunter Lansing Properties calls this service an amenity and they cut it off on the second day of the month if you don't pay the rent. It is not an amenity because it is paid monthly. Amenities could be the use of the pool and gym, game room, etc. I understand that you have to pay the rent on time, but cutting off the internet service as punishment is a waste of money for the tenant because sooner or later we pay for that service, which you don't have. I recommend not dealing with this company.

Paid my bill 3 days early, emailed payment confirmation to the leasing office, leasing office said they see it in the system. 3 days after rent is due they shut off my internet and told me it takes a day for it to be turned on again. Missed an interview and a day of work because they cant keep track of payments here. The office employees seem nice, but the ownership is shady, ruthless, and corrupt. There are plenty of places that offer more than what this place does.

Posting this to hopefully save some people the bad experience. Hunter Lansing Properties took over the apartment I was living in. Once they took over, so many things went wrong. We were constantly locked out of our apartment because they didn’t know how to work the electronic keys, we had billing issues, the water would go off for days at a time with last minute notice, the leasing office would never answer and when they did they were not kind. I would come home from work and notice that someone had used my bathroom and had been in my apartment while I wasn’t there (multiple times). I had to buy a camera and set it up in my apartment just to prevent this. They did not care to answer to any of our concerns. The list goes on and on. Living there was definitely a learning experience, just not for them. They do not care about their residents. Don’t put yourself through living here and find literally anywhere else.

Horrible Management. Packages and laundry are stolen constantly. Took away all the free amenities that the previous company offered and jacked up the price of rent and pet rent. The office was constantly closed and no one would answer the phone. We would get notices for routine maintenance or inspections and they would show up a week or two later after the specified day. Parking lot is always full of unpermited cars. Go live literally anywhere else, just stay away from hunter lansing.
