Location is great. It's across from the Great Lakes Mall. The exercise gym is nicely equipped. The pool is well kept and a good size. The staff is great. Maintenance responds well. The apt. Is spacious. The neighbors appear to be nice. It's peaceful.
In the 8 years we have lived here I have always felt our requests for assistance (repairs/replacements) have been met in a reasonable period of time. In the past year, under new ownership, that has even improved.. All the improvements have made every aspect of living in this community more pleasant.
I have been living at Auburn Gate for 5 years and have seen multiple management companies come in and out, with different staff, all attempting to make this complex better than the last. I noticed the biggest improvement in the last year since the newest staff members had been chosen. I have personally interacted with Kassie at the front office quite a bit in the last 12 months. She has helped me with anything from work orders, to mail, and any questions or issues I have experienced. She is incredibly delightful to talk to, she is always smiling and helps everyone in a professional manner. Thank you Auburn Gate for employing people like her to make this place even better!
I have started placing service calls at the end of May my AC unit is not functioning Ive had five service calls in here each time they tell me its fixed it is not fixed as of today it is not fixed Ive been going through this heat wave with no AC when they tell you that your unit has AC dont believe them the unit I am in does not have a functioning AC machine working my unit is almost on in habitable
I have lived here since last April and for the most part the place is nice. Pretty to look at but nothing else really matches up. We have noisy neighbors with pets not on leads, the maintenance isnt the best. The garbage situation is also god awful as well. One dumpster right in the front for the whole complex. Home any later than 5, good luck getting a spot close to your door. They also raised our rent almost $200 when renewing. Our toilet has been fixed twice now and it broke a week later. Poor communication for the most part from the leasing office. I emailed them yesterday about one of the checks I submitted as it was not cleared on my account. I got told this morning it was good and I had no balance. Then I come home from my errands to a letter saying that we didnt pay last months rent and we need to pay it immediately and they added on a late fee of $150 even though I turned the check in on the 7th with the agreement from them that I wouldnt not be changed for that one day. I called and asked them what happened and they said they were just told today...two weeks later....that my check bounced so I have to pay the late fee and they wont remove it. Mind you I wouldnt submit a check that I didnt have the money for so that sounded strange to me. I called my bank to see if indeed they bounced it because of the ridiculous late fee added on. I was then told that there was never a transaction or attempt at getting that money from my account per that check. And now that the office is closed, I had to email them and let them know all of this. Not that I think they will do anything because they just want money from everyone and not really care about the residents.
