Auburn Gate

Location is great. It's across from the Great Lakes Mall. The exercise gym is nicely equipped. The pool is well kept and a good size. The staff is great. Maintenance responds well. The apt. Is spacious. The neighbors appear to be nice. It's peaceful.

In the 8 years we have lived here I have always felt our requests for assistance (repairs/replacements) have been met in a reasonable period of time. In the past year, under new ownership, that has even improved.. All the improvements have made every aspect of living in this community more pleasant.

Im helping a friend get settled in her new apartment, and when I stopped by to drop off some things I was unpleasantly surprised to find her apartment had been emptieddown to the air freshener plug ins placed in each room! Immediately called 911 and upon accessing the situation, the officer thought maybe maintenance was under the assumption the unit had not yet been leased and there was some type of miscommunication with the office. Management refuses to accept any fault or offer any type of assistance. They never provided my friend with original keys for her apartment. In less than a week, everything I gifted her as house warming presents GONE! Someone was clearly watching us bring these items in. Calls to beztek go unanswered and nobody ever calls back!!!! Auburn Gates google page has mysteriously disappeared or I would leave a review there as well!

DO NOT get a short term lease here. I lived at Auburn gate for 2 separate terms in 2017 and 2018. Both were short term 3 month leases. The shortest lease they offered was 6 months, so the conversation was lengthy and clear that we wanted 3 months each time we stayed. The staff confirmed a 3 month lease and the first term everything worked well from the start. The second term, they knew we wanted a 3 month lease again since we had to move back to school and couldnt stay. A little after a month in to the second lease (40days since move-in), I let the staff know I would be moving out a day earlier than the lease agreement. They informed me that since I was a few days beyond the mandatory 2 month lead time before move out, I would have to pay them another month or a $2,000 fine. I told them I would not pay, as they knew the whole time I was to move out after 3 months and the lease expired and the date was included in the lease agreement. They told me they knew I was leaving but I did not follow the fine print of a back page from the lease agreement. They refused to just accept the original plan for me to stay for our defined lease term. I had only treated the staff and management with the most respect and they were cold and rude once they knew they had me screwed for more money. I would strongly recommend NOT LIVING HERE (especially for a short term lease). They will try to take you on a ride for as much money as they can squeeze out. Should be criminal

Auburn Gate is a great place to live! The staff is helpful and quick to handle any repairs that are needed. Fellow residents are professionals working close by. In our building we have had get-togethers and have made friends.

WAS a nice place for 7yrs until the wanted to raise my rent $200.00 a month.They will raise it this much every year. They did redo the apt., look good but cheaply done. Beware
