5 Reviews for Junction Shop Lofts
I have been very happy at Junction Shop Lofts. This was definitely the best dog-friendly apartment option in Worcester because of the gated dog park on property. Further, the apartments are gorgeous with their renovated industrial aesthetic. However, you have to know ahead of time what it's like to live with exposed brick walls, tall ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows. These things tend to drive up heating costs, but each unit is different with what it has as far as those things, so I recommend considering the individual unit you might move into and what your tolerance is for those things. I also enjoyed the friendly front office staff (who accept packages for you during the day), the quick-to-help maintenance staff, the on-site grill, courtyard, and fireplace, and the on-site gym. Most of the tenants here at the same time as me included medical students, grad students, young professionals, and some retirees. Most tenants seem to have either a dog or cat, so you meet a lot of pets in the hallways or the surrounding grass. I also recommend getting enough parking passes for all your cars to park in the parking lots since the neighborhood has a higher theft rate than some other Worcester neighborhoods. I have never seen or heard of any car theft in the video-taped parking lots, but I have seen broken car windows for cars parked on the street.
Overall, I recommend Junction Shop Lofts if you have a pet, like the industrial aesthetic, and are willing to accept the challenges of living in an old industrial building with tall ceilings when it comes to heating.
save your money. they are nice but management is the worst theres a reason why why it has 2 stars eveyrwhere. i ignored it and im paying the price. dont do the same.
Walls are thin, you hear everything your neighbors are up to and vice versa. Heating is expensive and sometimes doesn't work. 50 degree mornings are fun! When you get fed up and want to leave they charge $$$$ or ruin your credit.
So excited to finally be leaving this place. Looks nice, but poorly constructed. Tall ceilings, and thin/uninsulated walls make for astronomical electric heating bills. Any furniture near the brick walls will be routinely covered in falling rubble/mortar/dust. The leasing office is on its FOURTH manager in 14 months - talk about high turnover. Not that the manager really helps with anything anyway - everything has to go to corporate. Neighborhood is rough. The freight trains and fights at the strip club every weekend do a good job of lulling you to sleep.
I do not recommend this apartment complex. The apartments themselves are not structurally sound, and will often let in freezing air in the winter, smoke from neighbors, as well as a lot of noise from neighbors. Windows not properly sealed. Fire alarms always seem to "malfunction" and are placed so high up on walls that even firemen/first responders cannot fix alarms upon arrival. Leasing office does not always understand what is going on--expect lack of communication and a good deal of mixed messages. Overall, beautiful apartments but not well made, management communication is poor and service is slow.
What is a Certified Resident?
A resident who lives at the property and has completed a resident satisfaction survey.
Advertising properties provide a list of email addresses of its residents to Kingsley Associates, a third party market research firm, who then sends out the satisfaction survey to the residents. Properties may also conduct satisfaction surveys of its residents through other third party market research firms. In those cases, we will publish those survey responses as long as the questions conform to our standard survey format.
Because reviews are from Certified Residents, and are managed by a third party, you can feel confident that the feedback provided is accurate and trustworthy.
