I was very interested in renting a unit here and reached out to the leasing office. I had to reach out twice before I received a reply. I received information from Melissa. I set-up a day to come visit the unit and had to email Melissa several times to get instructions on where to go upon arrival and what time I should arrive. (this was during the COVID-19 Pandemic) I didn't want to seem annoying but I was very interested in the unit. Arrived on the property and liked the unit. I told the leasing office I would need to go home and review my current lease move out procedures because I didn't want to leave on bad terms. Melissa did not tell me that there was other interested parties. I emailed her back less than 24 hours later and told her I wanted to move forward. She immediately replied and told me that someone else put a deposit on the unit. I was disappointred but it happens. I asked her if there was any other 1 bedrooms available or expected to be available and she ignored my email. After watching the sight, several units became available the next week. I do not want to live under management that does business like that. She only responded to emails when I sent several of them, and no longer needed to communicate to me, so she stopped replying to emails. I drove around the property and the units could use some TLC. Mold and wear and tear on the outside of the property, and inside the hallways was in disrepair. the unit itself was very nice because it was recently remodeled, however the workmanship was very shabby. spaces in the wood flooring, carpet was cut short and paint on the walls was terrible.
The large rent increases each year do not reflect a loyalty to customers who have been here for years and are timely with payments and cause little fuss.
Don't use a bullhorn to get people to move their cars. Have their cars towed at their expense.
Lower the rent increases for long-term residets
