Leasing staff was very professional, genuinely polite and helpful.Steve showed us around and was, patient and quite thorough in answering all of our many questions. The complex is very unique, practical and most importantly seems SAFE and well maintained. Offers millennials modern living, big windows and lots of sunshine pours into living space, immaculate, and has amenities that really matter.
The covered parking garage for tenants and guests is a big plus....was going to get tours of 2 other apartment buildings-but after driving by them- no comparison to Silverbrick Lofts. This place is the one!
Single professional with stable income sought convenient apartment close to work. Lived there for two years. I should have trusted my gut on this one, would strongly recommend against renting.
- Windows without screens, no seal, broken counterbalances. I was promised replacement, never happened.
- Roof leaked twice, both times flooding my apartment and damaging personal belongings. (Not covered by their insurance)
-- Leak #1: mismanaged. They disposed of damaged personal articles without my permission, making impossible to file with my rental insurance. I went all the way up to corporate for meager replacement and no apology.
-- Leak #2: led to a week out of my apartment in mid-winter. Initially said it was because of poor maintenance, but backtracked on that statement. Cost me $500 deductible via rental insurance.
- Smokers in stairwells
- On Weeknights you can hear the local clubs
- Homeless in the courtyard
- Street noise at all hours
- Front staff nice but high turnover and inconsistent policies
- Upon leaving, despite speaking with them before hand, could not do a walk through with someone privileged to discuss my security deposit, so could not discuss any possible deductions/cleaning fees.
tl;dr: High cost "luxury" sheen covering poorly maintained facility with flaky management who make promises they could not keep.
With new management, a lot of units are still being renovated to have more modern appeal with hardwood laminate and stainless steel appliances. Everyone has been friendly, especially maintenance and you def get a good vibe of diverse community. Because they are busy renovating a lot, aside from emergencies, it takes on average of 2-3 days to get things fixed. Had bad impression at move-in (hiccups in renovation) but was fairly quickly addressed and impression has since only improved
I have seen many people come and go but living here you have a sense of management caring and residents caring as well. With the amount of people that live in the buildings they respect you even the dogs too
