The renovated units are beautiful, and so is the view.

The building changed ownership in 2016 and has been downhill since (broken elevators, office never open, poor communication from the building, dumpsters blocking parking entrances, the list goes on). This is a great location and good facilities. The units are good size and thought-out, but it is a very frustrating place to live. Don't expect any personal touch or even for the staff to know your name. If you choose to live here, be prepared for high rents and constant disappointment.

I lived at Carson Tower for about 6 months until the new management company Akelius took over the building and since the switch Carson Tower is not what it used to be. Let's see.. vomit on the stairwells that don't get cleaned for weeks, smokers in the back patio that you can hear coughing at all hours of the night, unanswered email complaints, unfriendly and rude staff, and their latest stunt? The maintenance team (if you can ever get them to do anything) left my apartment door wide open after doing work in the apartment. I've lived in Boston for 7 years under several management companies and this is by far the worst. Don't expect any dramatic change, either, unless a new management company takes over. Rent increased this year and for what? An elevator that breaks every other week and a driveway with torn up cement that can damage your car? No thank you. Akelius does and will not care about your best interest. You can do better than Carson Tower Apartments.
