BEWARE DON'T LIVE there ! The office team on site are great, the maintenance guys are helpful, HOWEVER,
when you leave them, the maintenance supervisor Miguel will makeup stuff to make you pay for anything not your responsibility. In my case I was asked for a whole apartment carpet replacement whole I have pictures that the carpet all over is in it's original state except for a 2"*2" in one bedroom that only this bedroom carpet could be replaced while still Matching the rest of the apartment. Wow how a good way to collect money! I'm not the only one who had this complaint. In addition to a neighbor who suffered mistreatment from Avalon management there !
They called me now to collect money and gave me 10 days to pay before they take me to collection !!
Have lived here for a few months now and have had a pleasant experience with the leasing office overall. The three star rating is because of the experience with neighbors and the community overall. Example: I left my key inside and I called a neighbor who i was familiar with to let me in the building and she gave me a very hard time, in freezing temperatures. She said "don't do this again" after eventually letting me in. Another neighbor has yelled at me from her window for no apparent reason and this has happened on more than one occasion. The sense of community isn't here and if you are stuck outside in New England with no phone or keys, be prepared to stay there because your neighbors have no empathy and will not help you.
Though I love the apartments and community, the yearly rent renewal/increases are ridiculous. You can count on anywhere between 100 and 200 dollars more a month to stay in your current unit. They give you the increase amount only about 2 weeks in advance of when you would have to choose to move or stay (based on the advanced notice that they require for vacating). I now pay 130 more a month, for the same unit. As the years pass, the increases are just way to substantial. Sadly I see this being my last year here.

The move in process wasn't that bad, but the move out process was atrocious. Buyer BEWARE, you will not get back your security deposit, they will find ways to charge you for every and anything. The Clean & Sweep service is NOT optional like they say. I spent 5 solid hours cleaning the nooks and crannies of my apartment and still got slammed with a cleaning fee for it anyway. There was a full carpet replacement for a small spot that they did not even attempt to get up with a spot cleaner. If I would have known they were going to charge me for a FULL carpet replacement I would have rented a steam cleaner myself to remove the spot (and when I say spot, I mean small spot). UNREAL and completely OUTRAGEOUS. I never had a complaint with maintenance, they just do what they are told. A former employee of an Avalon Community told me that this is what they do - Replace everything they possibly can and will find anything to charge you for it to make a quick profit and to keep rent sky high. I wish I would have read some of the reviews out reviews before I decided to move to this community. I will never ever rent here again or recommend it to anyone. I am an incredibly clean person, I have no kids and no pets and have never ever in all of my 15 years of renting lost a security deposit or had to pay for any type of replacement or turning over of an apartment for the next tenant when I moved out. I am completely astonished.
