Where to start.....for luxury apartments; you learn very quickly that corners are cut in the construction. The longer we live her the more we are finding. Rushed construction, bad paint jobs, careless treatment of appliances and floors and walls during construction. New appliances that are causing issues, chipped and cracked marble.....
The rent is high for what you get in return. What brought us to a new development was the beauty and us being able to move into a brand new apartment without running into issues from previous renters etc. While touring we were promised a quiet environment that was fantastically sound proof and mention of no complaints from residents.
The noise we hear from our apartment is frightening! The ceiling sounds like its about to cave in when people are walking around upstairs, running children.... forget it! Im floored at the lack of sound proofing! For a newly constructed building its evident that esthetics is the first and foremost interest of the developers, hearing EVERYTHING from inside your apartment is not exceptable, youd have to hear it to believe it. Its a shame because what we are paying; we had a false sense of quality. We sacrafice other things to live here with the hopes of it being worth the price to live comfortably. Weve been here a few months and Im already weary of what weve gotten ourselves into. If the soundproofing isnt fixed we will have no option but to pull out of our lease. It would be insane to expect anyone to live in a building that feels as though its about to crumble every time a neighbor moves in their apartment.
Please dont let the high price of these units fool you into thinking it reflects the quality you are receiving in return. They are far from being a luxury apartment building and would need to make several improvements before its worth what is being payed monthly. Its disheartening to say the least.
Would not recommend, not worth the money you pay in rent. No sound proofing between apartments, be prepared to hear your neighbors and most everything they do.
Management typically has no idea what is going on, and communication is horrible. If they need to notify the residents about things like paving they have only given one day notice to have vehicles moved. What if that happened while I was away on vacation...
I have placed work orders to replace things in the apartment and it has been two months and it has not been fixed yet.
Other tenants have no respect for other residents property. Even though this is a "smoke" free property I constantly see kids smoking pipes on the sidewalks and cigarette butts everywhere.
This is no luxury apartment and definitely not worth the money unless you get in on low income/section 8.
