Gordon College is a four-year liberal arts institution situated in Wenham, Massachusetts, just north of Boston. The college was originally established in 1889 as the Boston Missionary Training School (BMTS). Growing steadily over the years, the BMTS soon moved from its original location in the basement of the Clarendon Street Church in Boston to a more appropriate facility in the Fenway neighborhood of the city. In the late 1940s, the school made its final move to its current location in Wenham on the 1,000-acre estate of Frederick Prince. Today, Gordon College maintains a non-denominational Christian affiliation.
Gordon College's mission states that it "strives to graduate men and women distinguished by intellectual maturity and Christian character, committed to lives of service and prepared for leadership worldwide."
