The West End Apartments-Asteria, Villas and Vesta

The good: Location can be quiet. There is construction in the area so some apartments likely suffer. Ours wasnt too bad. The bad: They said they have a pool. What they mean is you can pay $400+ to use a pool at a location 10 minutes away. They advertised a theater room - wonderful! But not at our building. Another 10-minute walk. The Internet did not work when plugged into the wall. I was told that I would be responsible to pay for any work/troubleshooting to get the wiring IN THE WALL to work. Luckily I was able to trace the wiring issue to some incorrectly labelled and connected wires in the wall. Parking is outrageously expensive. It isnt directly the apartment (at least on the surface - perhaps they are under the same company) but it was twice as much as other nearby apartments. The rate they charged for the apartment was astronomical. But, that is their prerogative to charge and mine to accept. The biggest letdown was that I needed a place for 6 weeks but a 2-month lease was the shortest term they would offer. They added two extra days on it and I didnt catch it. Of course now they refuse to do anything about it even though I was out of the apartment 3 days before the lease was up. Yes, I signed the lease. Yes, I should have paid closer attention. But yes, I had only ever asked for 2 months. Not 2 months plus two days. Said: Yes we have a pool. Yes you can do a 2-month lease. Meant: We will charge you to access a pool that is not on site. We will make the lease a little longer than you asked for. A very sad and common example of people being robots and not very honest.
