All about

University of Baltimore, MD

The University of Baltimore may have started out as a business school in 1925, but the institution has grown to become a traditional university. The university, right in the middle of one of Maryland's bustling cities, is conveniently located a few blocks from Baltimore's Penn Station, giving students an easy way to get out of student housing and jet to Washington D.C., Philadelphia or New York City for the weekend.

Whether they want to pursue a degree in technology, criminal justice, pre-law or any of the variety of undergraduate programs offered at UB, students have plenty of options. The same can be said for on-campus activities. There are more than 60 student-run organizations, so it will be easy for new students to join groups they're interested in and make new friends. They might even find the perfect roommates for off campus housing. Athletic types may also want to check out some of the many intramural sports teams, as playing games can be a fun way to meet like-minded people and stretch legs between study sessions.

UB students don't have to leave the city to find fun, interesting things to do. Practically around the corner from the main campus, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra holds a variety of concerts all year long. Students can also see a play performed at the legendary Hippodrome Theater, now known as the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center.

The many neighborhoods of Central Baltimore, from Druid Heights to Mt. Vernon and Seton Hill offer shopping and dining perfect for a free afternoon. These are just some of the nearby areas where students can find the perfect off-campus apartment.
