Dealing with UDRs corporate office was an even bigger nightmare. After sending three emails through their platform, countless emails to their Welcome Home email, and numerous text messages, I was left on hold for days without any resolution. I wanted a specific apartment for an immediate move-in at the best rate listed on their website three days in row (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday), but I didnt get a call until Wednesday. When someone finally reached out, they werent any help either (another leasing consultant in Colorado). They had to contact their pricing department and then had the nerve to ask me for screenshots of their own website to prove the pricing. They refused to share their pricing with me, repeatedly requesting I complete my ID and selfie upload before giving me any information. I spent a week literally begging for someone to call me, respond to my emails, anything. I needed to move and wanted to take advantage of the best rate offered when I first reached out. The fact that I emailed the corporate office three times and the only person who responded was a leasing consultant in Colorado, who couldnt help me at all, is absurd. I feel there is absolutely a fair housing violation here. This cannot be your customer service standard or best practices. I cannot believe this is the new human standard: poor customer service, an indifferent attitude, and a dismissive you can cancel your application and well refund the $500 you spent to apply. Not to mention the credit hit I've taken applying to this community. This experience has cost me money, consumed more time, and added an immense amount of stress and frustration. I am genuinely impacted by this situation - Long story short. This review platform has a character limit otherwise I would have shared a lot more about my experience

I have been living here for 2 months and I am counting down the seconds until I can leave. I wish 0 stars was an option. If you are trying to get a hold of anyone, good luck, they don't answer any of the phones. I needed something repaired the day I moved in and it took over two months for it to be fixed. When they came to fix the freezer (after 2 months) no one notified me they were coming nor did they tell me my fridge/freezer needed to be cleared out. There is feces in the parking garage that was never cleaned up. Every week something is broken- doors to the building, garage doors, etc and it takes a ridiculous amount of time for them to be fixed. Every appliance, cabinet, light fixture that came with the apartment is cheap. If you want to be overcharged and inconvenienced often this is the place for you.

I have been a resident for about 2 months and everyday I find another reason to hate living here. For one, maintenance is slow in repairing anything. I put a service request in October 18th and it took over a month before maintenance stopped by. The issue is still not resolved and I have not been able to enjoy a hot shower yet! Due to the placement of the concierge desk, food deliveries are often unable to get in (the call box at the front entrance is broken, has been since I moved in Sept) and food deliveries are often left outside. Residents are expected to pay $6 a month for a package locker to receive any packages. The dog park is FILTHY with no effort by the management to sanitize or clean. Not to mention, some dog parents don't pick up after their pets. My car was in an accident so I canceled the monthly parking and was told I needed to give a 60 day notice and pay $250 to revise the lease to remove the 2nd parking space, ultimately being charged $440 for NOTHING. If you have options, choose another management company because UDR will nickel and dime you until you are broke.

Maintenace sucks, management incompetent, front desk staff rude, trash rooms stay full, rats live here too, parking garage stays broken, vehicles stay getting towed, they charge guests for parking, don't waste your money here.

We moved in October 2020, and since the first day our toilet has been randomly overflowing and flooding our bathroom. This is NOT due to clogs. It foams and bubbles at random times. We've had maintenance and plumbers come out to fix it and nothing has changed. There are rats everywhere...it's true. The trash rooms are disgusting, they don't offer recycling and rats are living in the rooms. They've been doing construction non-stop on the parking garage and threaten to tow you if you park in the spot you paid for. I sold my car and no longer need a spot. It's $85 a month. They refuse to remove this charge for the remaining 9 months of my lease. So now I am paying $85 a month for a spot I don't have a car to park in. When it rains, the water leaks through the windows and pools on the banister. Maintenance has been out to look at this as well, nothing has changed. I put a towel down and that's the only solution. Packages pile up in the package room and they don't use the lockers that you pay for parcel services. You have to look through a pile of packages to find yours. Half of the light bulbs in the track lighting have been out since we moved in. They came to replace them and charged us $75 for the replacements. They proceeded to go out and now we're back to less than 50% of light bulbs working.
