I relocated from out of state where I had a home and a yard. I am vey happy living here. The location is very convenient. I can get to multiple grocery stores and doing shopping within a quick 1 mile radius. I can get to the metro very easily. Love the location! The apartment is bright and sunny and quiet as well. All in all a great experience.
This is the worst building I have ever lived in. The location is great, the management is awful. I mean downright horrendous. Any problem you have, they couldn't care less. So many careless mistakes at the hand of management. We are so excited to move out. We have been lied to several times and everything you could possibly think to break, breaks in this apartment. And let me tell you, the management does not give a care in the world to your broken AC unit, broken parking fob, over draft of rent (yes they said they voided a check which they hadn't and now are refusing to refund the money of excess rent paid), broken elevators, cigarette smoking indoors. I just honestly can't wait until we move out. We only have a couple weeks left and it will be like a huge weight is lifted off our shoulders. Don't waste your time and money here, we have wasted far too much time in reaching out to the unresponsive management team. The building itself is in a nice location and it LOOKS nice from the outside, but don't let it deceive you. Please. I am writing this is hopes of sparing someone else what we have gone through.
Reasons not to move here 1) Constant construction, had a crane outside of our window for 2 months straight. 2) Parking is a mess, have to park down the street and parking fob doesn't work 20% of the time. Emailed apartment complex about parking, didn't respond back and fixed the parking pass 6 days later. Still charged for the full amount for the month. 3) Elevators broken half the time. Don't even take the elevator unless necessary. 4) Not a smoke free building. Had someone living down the hall from us for 10 months smoking inside. The hallway (and sometimes our apartment) would wreak of cigarette smoke. Did nothing about the issue. 5) Rent finally was broken down for us to see exactly what we are being charged every month and we found a discrepancy in the rent right off the bat, who knows how many times we've been over charged in the past. 6) Water pressure and hot water constant struggle. We get hot water for about 7 minutes in the shower. Boyfriend and I have to stagger shower times because one will end up without hot water if we don't. 7) AC has been struggling lately, obviously this building was cheaply made. Maybe a rush to get it finished and it shows. Things are constantly breaking.
I'd been considering Pike & Rose for about a year now but never had the chance to see it. The ratings online were so bad I was very skeptical. Three weeks in I'm feeling confident and I absolutely love my apartment. I enjoy having people over, being by myself, and cooking in the comfort of my own home.
