I know this is close to UMES but please do not rent from them. I know they put up cute little balloons and appear all friendly before you rent from them but trust me its a facade to get more residents. I lived in Hawks Run for a year and they treat residents with the utmost disrespect because were just students. It is very money driven and people at the front office including Lyndon are incredibly bitter, rude and run a my way or the highway policy. Often times, maintenance men will come into your room without any notice and work on things like painting for weeks while youre still living there paying rent. Even though youre renting out the whole apartment, if you leave stuff in other rooms they will throw it away without asking or apologizing for it. They came into my apartment while I was still living there and threw away cabinets worth of new clothes and then told me theres absolutely nothing they could do. Lets not even talk about how money driven they are as they charge EVERYONE a $125 vacuuming fee off their deposit regardless of why her your room was spotless or not, just because they can. For the rent you are paying, just find another place, I wouldnt live in a place that doesnt respect their rent-paying tenants and just do what they want because they can. I have several other stories but Ill keep it short, DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. Trust the students.
!!!! RIP OFF!!!!
Do not rent from Ardens Run unless you absolutely have to. Not every apartment has a living room area, the staff is extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. There is no courtesy given to the tenants, who are mainly undergraduate students struggling to pay rent. I have received two complaints from my landlord this year alone. (For 600 dollars a month, two roommate can easily find a two bed room apartment and cover the utility bills.) Ardens is not worth it in anyway!! I wish my experience could have been better. I will not be renewing my lease into 2020. As a college student working my way through college I hope this review reaches someone who cares because this 2019 summer is going be a rough one for Ardens Run. I hope the entire community is empty this summer for the lack of consideration and appreciation that the management gives to its tenant. I can give the landlord $275 every two weeks and still fall behind on my rent. How is that possible???
A very dissatisfied tenant
