I give this place two stars because at times, it is perfectly adequate and I'm content living here, but most of the time, it is too noisy, dirty, and the service given by the office is insufficient. My stairwell sits in front of a growing cesspool of water in an old pool that has yet to be addressed since we moved here a year and a half ago. It's a major eyesore and is a representation of how things apparently are run. You're paying far too much for what you're getting.
I wouldnt even recommend this place to my worse enemy. To start off I moved in July 2015 upon move in I noticed a big hole under the sink I called to have them fix it which took a few weeks. Then I was told 4 weeks later that they had not received the cabinets to replace the ones in the kitchen. Ok no problem I still tried to work with them until Mickey Mouse moved in. I complained and complained and the excuse was always were under new management and weve changed pest control services, again ok no problem when will some be able to tend to my issues its now October 2017 and that apt has not been treated for mice. I dealt with it for a long time. To make matters worse they lost my rent twice and threatened to evict me even though I had receipts but because western union could not find the money order per their policy you will still be responsible for the balance.
The young ladies in the leasing office are great. Everyone except Erica Best which is the assistant property manager and accounts manager (whom lost my rent both times).
I moved to Cambridge because I loved Ross management and wanted to be closer to work. The switch of management was a horrible decision. Quest management is a horrible management company. If they would respond to EVERYONES request in a timely manner and not pick and choose who they serve the community would be a lot better. All in all I loved my apartment but I was pushed out by neglectful management.
Oh by the way most apartments dont look like the ads nor the model. Fool me once shame on me fool me twice, well shame on you Quest. Youre having a high turnover due to your response to your residents.
DO NOT!! DO NOT!! Rent at Hilltop Apartments. There is absolutely no customer service. They do not follow up on service request and are never apologetic about the poor service. The maintenance team changes every other week. There is no communication what so ever!!! And there are MICE!!! Moving to this community was a huge mistake! The only time you hear from these people is when the rent is late! SAVE YOURSELVES THE HEADACHE DO NOT RENT FROM HILLTOP!
I was very surprised at the response I got when I notified the manager about the mouse that was sitting in my living room. She said as if I was lying and it was something she had heard for the first time "nobody else has complained" why would the neighbors tell me about the mice and not report it. As soon as I can move I'm gone. Roaches and mice I can't do it I'm scared to death of mice. My Current situation BP 182/116 I can't do this.
Mice, Mice, Mice! It takes weeks and sometimes months maintenance to fix anything! The staff is rude and unprofessional. GOODLUCK!
