If you could share ideas on lowering my electric bill with BGE. I get notices stating I am using so much more electricity than my neighbors. I don't understand bc I am rarely home and I hate lights and my bill averages 225.00 and higher per month. Single family homes are not that high. I need help understanding this.
The designs of the apartments and the entire complex are appealing and comfortable, but there have been a few issues with the living experience.
-The construction of the apartments allow for no protection against noise from neighbors. In fact, it seems as though steps and falls are somehow amplified.
-Security concerns and vandalism
-When it comes time to renew the lease, prices always increase. Despite stressing community values, renters are quickly reminded of the business aspect of the complex when confronting staff with questions about the increase. Staff members have responded by saying that if renters don't like the price, the renters could quickly be replaced.
-The recent change to the technology package forced several renters to pay more for internet than before, along with increasing rent.
-Just an opinion: It seems that the renovations to the gym didn't really make much of a difference. The money probably would've been put to better use had it been spent on a rack of free weights and/or cable attachments for the existing machine.
Other than that, I've had no issues with the staff, which has been very helpful in several occasions.
The community staff is very friendly. They handle concerns and questions quickly. The overall community and apartments are beautiful.
Apartment was not clean sufficiently when I moved in. I had looked at the property several years ago and they were immaculate.
I think for the price that we pay for rent the appliances should be up to date and upgraded. I also think that there should be more interactive town hall type meetings to express and address concerns. In the winter I think more should be done to at least clear ALL sideways. I think cement walkways should be created for ALL ENTRANCES to the buildings...especially the muddy hill to the back entrance to 3511.
