If you sign a lease months in advance, BEWARE!!!!! My journey to lease an apartment with my boyfriend at Briarwood Place started off great. I was shown an apartment in early April, quickly applied, and signed a lease in May. Fast forward to thirteen days before my lease start date in June, I called Briarwood to confirm what documents I needed to bring with me in order to move in smoothly. I spoke with Darren, a property manager, who told me what documents to bring and that was the end. However, a couple of hours later, my boyfriend received a call from our leasing consultant Tamika, who said that they could no longer honor our lease of renting a top floor one bedroom apartment because the current occupants have not left and could only offer an apartment on the middle floor instead. This was also confirmed by Carrie another property manager. I quickly called the office and spoke to Darren. When I told him what Carrie and Tamika said, he seemed very confused and unaware of the situation. I spoke with Carrie who did not seem genuinely apologetic of the situation and mentioned how big of an inconvenience it is to her and her team. WOW! I asked for the number of the corporate office and spoke with a regional manager who agreed with Carrie and said basically there is nothing they can do even though WE SIGNED A LEGAL DOCUMENT. According to Carrie, we signed a "pre-lease" and it is not legally binding until we pick up the keys (WHAT?!). We cancelled the lease and will be receiving our deposit back. However I will NEVER rent at another Morgan Property community. The lack of organization at this office is disheartening and they do not care about the inconvenience they have caused. So for any prospective resident, BEWARE!

I really enjoy my visit yesterday. Everyone was warm and inviting! The answered all my questions and made me feeling comfortable. I was recommended to go there after looking for other apartments in a different area. After being frustrated and about to give up. God helped and I was pleased. Cant wait to move in next month.
The upper management don't seems too care about their residents heath and welfare when conditions are deplorable and not willing to give some sort of compensation for the discomfort along with the suffering of what the resident has too endure. If they had too live in these conditions they would expect some type of compensation.
I've been a resident for 8+ years and I've been very happy with the old and new management. They get top scores for customer service. Plan to remain for a while longer.
