(5 Ratings)The new management is TERRIBLE!!!!!! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THESE TO ANYONE! The new manger is way too involved with the residents personal lives. You would think she was the FBI or something ! She is not friendly at all and she is not even the slightest bit professional. I would never recommend these to anyone until they change management. Not only that but they dont offer anything ! They want so much money and they dont offer you one thing. No pool, no real parks . I mean what park doesnt have swings ! The old management use to treat the residents like famliy. They use to throw partys for the kids and have family gatherings. Come on now Melvin park apartments please do better !

Rent is cheap, look around and price compare. Overall I have no big issues but small ones. Residents leave you alone and things seem to be quiet but at night sometimes things seem amiss with activity. Cant say crime is bad but be aware of surroundings. Its the outside influence that hinders the community. Staff is pleasant and front office is great but you must be clear with intentions. Units are average to above average and some may be lacking but Im sure the older units will be upgraded. Good for small family or single person or college bound. Plenty of restaurants and close to 695,29,and 95. True rating is 3.5 but it doesnt give you that so round up as they say.

Management is HORRIBLE , the old management used to be so amazing. The current manager is a horrible person. Too involved in the residents personal lives and not personal at all. If old management was there I would advise these but now? No way. They are too over priced and they dont offer you anything. I wouldnt recommend these to anyone.

Poor building management. Took 6 months for a family of 3 to get a working fridge. Central heating and air are wildly out of date and prone to fail at the worst possible time (90 degree days, 10 degree nights).when you do call ,emergency service calls seem not to have any level of urgency. I am disgusted.

We're deeply sorry that it took much longer than you had expected to replace the refrigerator in your apartment home. Maintenance made several attempts to repair the refrigerator, however, some time after each repair the refrigerator stopped cooling again. We understand your disappointment and frustrations with the service you received. We value your residency with us.
