At first glance everything looks really nice, if you can get over the bad carpets and some dirty hallway walls. Keep in mind that I live on the fourth floor; not a day goes by where I don't hear cracks on the wall or loud thuds on the roof (no one is on the roof! not even for maintenance) and after a month of living here I started to notice that my walls had huge cracks running from one end to the other, the small wall diving the kitchen and the living room had started opening up to the point that it was practically a hole. We talked to management and they sent the maintenance guy and he said it was because the 'building was still settling' and sent someone to come and repair it. Repair to them apparently means just putting a bandaid on the issue because not even a week later the cracks were back. Like I've seen other tenants say on here, theres also an issue with people not being held responsible for leaving a mess in the hallway. But none of that compares to the terrible lack of customer service and hospitality that management proves, SPECIFICALLY the property manager Devon, she runs the apartments as if she didn't have to see us practically every day. She had my car towed last Friday from the INDOOR garage, that I, like many others, payed to have access to. Her reason: my tags were expired, after explaining to her that military personnel have up to a year in the state of Maryland to register their car when they're coming in from another state she said: 'I can't help you because its almost time for me to go home'. Had to pay nearly $500 to get my car out and today when my husband and I went to go see them again to reassess the situation she refused to come out and asked another person to attend to us, literally passed by us and said nothing. The unjust and emotionless demeanor of this woman is astounding. Once youre on a bad note with management they will find a way to get back at you, even enter your apartment without permission, Think twice before moving here!
Try finding parking in the evening for your guests. The persons using multiple guest spots to park their wrecked cars for months usually have priority.
Ive lived at The Mark for 2 years now and I love it here! The building itself is beautiful! I love my apartment and all the amenities. The staff is great, everyone is very professional and very personable! I love Desiree! The current property manager Devin is wonderful! she makes sure everything runs properly and if anything needs her attention you can rest assured she will make sure it gets taken care of.
