Although the apartment complex is starting to show its age some, the staff does an outstanding job on all aspects of making this a very nice place to live. They're polite, thoughtful, and very responsive.
The building is relatively new and we enjoy very little maintenance required on our unit. However, the parking garage is very tight and inconvenient. They leave the first floor open to visitors and free-loaders and force the residents to trek into the bowels of the garage every day to park. The office staff uses a lot of we don't do that type of responses when fielding requests- such as when asking for special trash pick up or replacement light bulbs or trying to see them between 5-5:30pm.
Rent is increased by 4% yearly. In 2012 and 2013, maintenance would take 1 -2 weeks to respond. For example, the shelving in our master bedroom closest fell off, leaving our clothes in a pile on the floor covered in drywall dust. It took 2 weeks for maintenance to rehang the shelves. The HVAC duct in the 2nd bedroom rattles loudly whenever the hot water heater exhuast. We noted it on our move-in form and asked that it be fixed. The apartment manager refused to fix the issue.
I wish the common room on the first floor was available to residence... you could only use it from 9-5 while staff was there....moving out was a pain they were not clear on when we could reserve the elevator. Front desk painful to work with on many occasions. Went into our apartment without letting us know a few times. We would come home and there would be a note we cleaned your dryer lint... The fire alarm went off and it was 20 min until the fire department came and they are .5 miles away
Sometimes the leasing office/management staff has an attitude when you ask for something to be done.
