I love the staff and I love my apartment. Everyone in the building seems to be pretty social in the hallways and elevators as well.

This apartment is too old. There are 3 elevators. And I've never seen all 3 elevators operating at the same time. The package was most likely stolen. The garage door was finally fixed. The front door needs a key to open. But you can also open it by pulling hard on it, which makes it unnecessary to use the access control. And someone broke in in the middle of the night. The repairs were slow. My bathroom wall was badly damaged by a water leak in the room above. It still has not been repaired after two weeks. The first week I lived here I requested over 15 repairs. I had to leave a 2 star review to prompt them to fix the dishwasher.

Rats, mice, roaches, elevator never works, old cabinets, gym equipment mostly broken, lots of trash, no recycling, no resident events, lazy unfriendly staff.

Good place to live if you don't need management's help. We have been complaining about roaches since October 2020. The exterminator already told us that they are not living in our unit, and that he does not know what to do anymore. We have sent multiple emails to the buildings management. We are opening exterminating requests every week. The only thing management does is to send the exterminator to our unit, instead of sending someone to thoroughly investigate where the roaches are coming from. In December we asked to move to another unit because we were tired of killing around five roaches a day on the kitchens countertop, but we were told that there was only one unit available which had a mice problem We were also told that there's a lot of roaches complaints from the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors. We have been trying to figure out where the roaches are coming from on our own. For that, we put a mesh on the air vents and found out that at least some of them are coming from the air vents.

Enjoyed my time living at the Carlyle! The staff (management, maintenance, and cleaning staff) are all friendly and remember you by name. They are what really make the place worth living at! The building is old, honestly, but if you have any issues then management and maintenance will be there to help and address those issues. They have a gym, study area, and a pool on the rooftop with an amazing view! Near a grocery store and Hopkins main campus, you will feel safe in this area.

I have been living here for 4 yrs. And i LOVE it here. My apartment is beautiful, excellent amenities, amazingly efficient maintenance, and honestly the best building manager I have ever had (Mike). He makes me and my friends feel welcome, and helps foster a sense of community at the building. I was only intending on living here for a little bit, and instead I could not imagine living anywhere else! I will be sad when I graduate from my program in a couple of years. Definitely recommend!
