The Apartments at Charles Plaza

Once upon a time the 3 communities that are now part of The Apartments at Charles Plaza were an awesome place to live. Each of the 3 communities had their own property managers, people who were dedicated to their jobs and cared about the residents. That all changed and now there is one Property Manager for all 3 communities, a sleeze bag who will talk bad about residents in front of other people and yell at his own employees. Whereas before you were valued as a resident now they could care less, you are just a number on their list, another fool who chose to live in these communities. Many residents already moved out and they are now accepting everyone into these apartments, as long as you breathe and move you will get an apartment! Utilities no longer included in rent, apartments are dated ( especially Charles Towers who are dingy). 39W Lex used to be considered a luxury community but that sounds like a joke right now! They control the heat and AC and they will turn it on/pff whenever they please, so with 90 degrees outside they decided to switch off the AC and turn on the heat, how stupid is this? Don't move here unless you are desperate or you have bad credit! The pool is always out of commission, everything in the apartment is old, dusty and dated. Plenty of better places to live in downtown! Not to mention that you have to always watch yourself, lots of robberies and people attacked in the area. There is some security but they usually hang out in the food court, staring at their phones.

Beware of here. Once you move in, they will increase your rent every year. I stayed here for 5 years hence I almost forget the lease agreement I signed 5 years ago. I noticed them 22 days before my relocation to other city. And they charged me for not noticing them 30 days before I leave. It is only 8 days. They charged you even you loyally stayed with them for 5 years. Nice management team!! There are a lot of good apartments in downtown Baltimore.

Don't move here!!!! I've had issues from day 1. Biggest complaint... the pool has been closed "for repairs" for three weeks, and management has done nothing! Several residents have reported they haven't seen anyone making repairs. If you want someplace that fixes things in your apartment and is honest - LOOK ELSEWHERE. The New management SUCKS.

I am very happy here. Great location, no super high utility bills, great amenities.

Ive been living at Charles Towers for the last 5 months, and my experience so far has been amazing! Charles Towers provides the convenience that Im looking for. I work within walking distance of the building, so I dont have to worry about finding a parking space downtown (it can really be a pain). Speaking of parking, the cost of parking can be a bit steep if you choose the garage underneath the building; but if you dont mind paying a little extra for the convenience, its worth it. We have a full-service grocery store in our plaza, as well as a food court. There are so many good things I can say about this apartment, but one of the best things is this: I love having ALL basic utilities included in the rent! In all my years of living in apartment buildings, this is the first building Ive lived in that includes the utilities (even electricity). I'd definitely recommend Charles Towers to anyone who's looking for a new place to call home!

Charles towers was great until you have issues with them that needs to be resolved! And the issue is usually their fault (i.e leaky pipes). The constant flooding in my apartment from their leaky pipes was the last straw for me so I moved! Save yourself the headache and find some where else
