I recently moved in in August. My roommates and I have dealt with about 20+ issues since moving in. Maintanence takes forever to come and the leasing/ management staff is incredibly rude. The latest issue is a pipe breaking and flooding our apartment. When we approach the management office about being conpensated in some way for all the bad things we experienced they were rude and constantly interrupted it. In addition, we had the property manager come to assess our issues one day she claimed to look into our trash and see Marijuana which is a violation of our lease. There is no Marijuana because we do not smoke, our trash has a lid on it, and she told our parents of what she "found" instead of us, the tenants/ lease signers. I HATE IT HERE. WHATEVER YOU DO DONT LIVE HERE.
Worst staff in all of Baltimore! When you want answers to real problems younare directed to management whic is for the best but then you find out that the mangers are like children! When you dont accept their answer as correct (they are known to lie) they begin to yell and ask to have you escorted out of the office while yelling at you. They asked if we wanted to pay for parking, we sat no they say yes. We cant even have guest surprise us and spend the night because guest parking is 5 dollars a night and can only be purchased from 10am- 6pm. Most places give you a complimentary guest pass but not here they just want your money. And dont get my started in their late fees!
I have seeen nice out front of the main building on my way home and was very disappointed in the community. And one night there was shooting outside my apartment! They didnt talk about it
For a week and we still dont know what happened.
Now my apartment is nice Im not going to lie about that but once you actually have to get something done everything goes down hill.
The only thing that makes this place livable is that they have two bathroom options and many places in Baltimore do not.
10/10 would not recommend living here unless its the only place you can afford
I lived here for the past 2 years with mostly no complaints. But things are quickly changing for the worst. My friend moved in shortly after I did. We both informed the leasing office so that I would get the $250 off my rent for making the recommendation. They claimed that they were not told when she signed her lease, I was no longer eligible. A complete lie.
We also experienced a serious issue with mice almost immediately. The exterminator made several trips to my friends apartment and the issue only seemed to get worse.
The next red flag was when 2 men broke into my friends apartment in the middle of the night via the patio door and held her up at gun point! She reported the incident with police and then contacted the leasing office first thing in the morning. The people in the office were completely unphased and even suggested that she brought this on herself. We dont even know anyone in the area! After that my friend broke her lease and moved out because shed had enough.
The property is constantly changing ownership. 3 times in the past 2 years. So the office staff has no motivation to actually be receptive to the concerns of residents.
Theyve recently began charging for parking. An obvious cash grab. The insulting response given to overwhelming amount of residents who spoke out against this was that residents complained that they couldnt find parking. Another lie. Theres plenty of parking all hours of the day. I work unpredictable hours and Ive never had an issue. Residents have been begging to have a town hall meeting to discuss changes that are made and they refuse. They put up pollls online for all kinds trivial things, but would not put up a poll for things as important as paying for parking.
If you dont want to be ripped off dont move here.
My roommates and I liked Fairways (now "Rosemont" which made it worse) for the parking situation. There were no parking permits and guests could come and go as they please. My roommates and I never had a problem finding parking. Although, when Rosemont took over management, they felt the need to enforce a parking permit and restrict guests even though 91% of the community opposed this action. We were notified (only by flyers in the main lobby of each apartment building) that in ONE week, there was going to be parking permits for residents and no guest parking (except on streets very far away and are already filled before the enforcement). We had to then pay $25 per resident for a parking pass ONCE a year. This was enforced on November 17, which means we pay $25 now and $25 again in a month and a half at the beginning of the year. I would not recommend this apartment complex at all. Management is not helpful whatsoever, dangerous neighborhood (which doesn't help with guests having to walk farther from their "free parking spots on the road", and not very clean. The management office will not pay attention to it's residents needs, so don't expect to be listened to.
I had nothing but bad experiences with the leasing office at these apartments. From charging me extra at the beginning of my lease all the way to adding additional parking fees in the middle of a signed lease. They have zero regard for the fact that a lease is a legally binding contract and will do anything to get extra money out of residents, be it honest or not. The appliances were disgusting, covered in mold and grime, when I moved in, despite claims that it had "just been cleaned." Extremely disappointed.
