Gorgeous renovations and incredible staff. I highly recommend this community!

If you are looking for a gated complex, keep looking. The gate has been broken for months. Also a stalled renovation project has the place looking like government housing. The landscaping is nonexistent as the old hedges and shrubs in front of the patios were pulled up months ago, but the new greenery hasnt been planted. Local staff is great, but place looks terrible. Wait until the renovations are complete before you look at Canebrake.

I have lived at Canebrake apartments for 2 years and have been disappointed with this Heritage Property. First off the gated community that they advertise about is misleading. The gate broke down about a year-and-a-half ago and has not been working properly since. The call box will shut off and you won't be able to get in and sometimes in the morning going out the gate it'll come right off the track or it won't even open at all. While staying here you have an option of setting up an alarm system through the property however mine was never properly connected and when I put in a request for it a few times the property manager Cindy stated that she contacted the alarm security company but was never able to get in contact with anyone to fix the issue. When the renovation started the workers would leave trash and even Nails in the stairwells, on the property, and even in the roads. Some of the streets to drive on in the property or still damage due to the renovations and they're still working so they may fix them later. However some of the workers are living in the apartments and are very rowdy. I had to place in a few noise complaint to the office which dispatched out a courtesy officer that never got back in contact with me nor did the main office get back in contact with me to make sure that the incident was resolved. Some of the workers actually put up a rim on the basketball court that was actually closed. I had to call in three nights in a row to complain about the noise and the lights shining through my window because my apartment is right by the court. I would wait for a courtesy officer that never showed up until after they had already left because the lights had shut off 30 minutes or an hour after they were supposed to be off. Went to speak to the office management and only Carly the assistant manager was there who kind of blew me off. Contacted corporate office who never got back with me. Bottom line do not live over here if you can afford it.
