Summer Place Apartment Homes

I have lived here for 4-1/2 years and have been pleased with the apartment managers, maintenance, security, etc. They are always friendly and prompt when I have a service order request.

I love living here! I've lived in many of the apartment complexes in town and this is the first time it actually feels like a community. All of the residents that I see in passing wave, smile, or stop to talk. More than once a random person as offered to help me with my trash if I had lots in my hand (I'm not old, by the way!). The maintenance staff is super friendly and helpful. I have great neighbors. The community is quiet and great for families! I don't intend to leave anytime soon! :-)

The manager is very unprofessional. She did not re sign my lease and wanted me to pay even after I moved out. Lost my deposit because I did t give a 30 day notice. Even though I was no longer in a lease and moved out she is still harassing me.

I lived in summer place for 2 years, my first roommate moved out and another friend of mine took over her lease. Throughout my stay, I had a few issues; the paint would chip in my tub and maintanence would come paint over it; the adjacent apt had a pipe leak and water was in my apt and in my carpet(nobody came to clean or check for mold) and the management(Sandy) is rude. As previously stated,I was a resident for 2 years meaning I put down the deposit which was $200(alone). At the end of my stay I was allowed $55 back which was giving to my roommate in a check with her name on. When I called I was told it was the deposit for the entire unit and we should split it. However it was in a check addressed to someone I no longer live with and should have never been addressed to her in the first place, when expressing my concerns,I was told it and was told it was my issue to get the money she owed me. I got the carpets clean as asked but Sandy said that didn't matter cause she got them recleaned and I should get my money back from the original company. After cleaning my apartment I was told my baseboards and ceiling fans were dirty so that cost me $85 dollars. Sandy was rude and illconcerned about giving me the money she owed me and said "it's only $55".

They took care of the folks that lived there. Place was neat and clean for the most part. Kid friendly and quite.

Overall Summer Place Apartments are a good place to live. It is a quiet complex with barely any disturbances. The staff at Summer Place are always friendly and usually accomplish tasks in a timely manner. The actual apartments are older, but are up to date and refurbished as necessary. Maintenance has always fixed any complaints within a day or two. The covered, assigned parking is wonderful and the new additional visitor spots have made things great.
