      I toured this property recently and was shown two different two-bedroom options and thought the space was great for what I'm looking for. The lady who showed me around was very friendly. There was a current resident in the office when I toured and they told me how much they loved living at the property. Definitely at the top of my list.

      The office staff appears to really care for their residents & put a lot of effort into maintaining the integrity of this place now. I remember what it was like when my grandmother lived there and it's like the place has had a total facelift. The Movie Night that they hosted was so fun & engaging. I was able to meet some really cool residents.

      I can't say how this new management will be, but the previous was not up to par. I have things in the apartment that I am living in that need to be repaired and I have advised the office of these repairs a couple of times.

      Absolutely the worst move out experience!! We moved out in November of 2018. According to Louisiana Landlord Tenant laws, they have 30 days from our move out date to file a claim against our security deposit. This claim is typically sent certified mail so that there is a tracking number and a signature confirmation that it was received. This never happened. After a couple of months, I sent a letter to both the Live Oak Trace office and the management group (IRT Living) in Chicago informing them that they failed to file a claim against my security deposit within 30 days and was therefore asking for my full security deposit to be refunded. I got no response. I waited a little while longer and called the Live Oak office and asked when I would be receiving my full refund. They told me that it was used for some repairs and cleaning, which I expected but THEY STILL NEED TO INFORM ME THAT THEY WERE DOING THAT!!!! I asked for a complete ledger of my last few transactions and the charges against my deposit to be mailed to me. Again, this never happened. Also, I was not told that I had any outstanding balance. It is now mid-May and I recieve and email that we owed $156 for damages exceeding the amount covered by the security deposit and if I called in 72 hours they would discount it by 40%. I called and called and called. Wrote email after email and never got any response from their Chicago office. Mind you, I was calling and emailing the numbers and addresses they gave me. NO RESPONSE!!! I called over 20 times in a week and a half time frame. NO RESPONSE!!! No calls back. No emails back....nothing. The Live Oak office gave me no help and had no answers. I will never ever refer anybody to Live Oak Trace of any other IRT property. Absolutely the worst move out experience ever.

      When I came to see the apartments. I was impressed with the model. I liked everything about the it. The Kitchen, bedrooms, patio and it appears to be nice. When I read the reviews posted. Some former residences had good and bad experiences. Not sure about their experiences. I won't know until I get an apartment myself and base it from my own experience. Thank you, Beverly

      Rates were not reasonable, staff was unreliable, and were not certain on amount to terminate the lease. I had a terrible experience with the office staff and could not quite get an understanding of how they operate. They told me I could pay $1300 to terminate my lease. When o went back it was another price. I purchased a house in November and ended up paying my house note and Live Oak Apartments. I would not tell anyone to go there to live.
