The Elysian

Nice apartments but management is horrible. They dont answer the office phone at all and you can tell when they purposely dont answer because after a few rings it goes to the automated system. Ive been waiting over a month to get my washer fixed and I have a baby on the way and need to wash her clothes and stuff before she comes. Also, apartment has little to no storage so if you have a lot of stuff you might want to consider selling or getting renting a storage. *Update* Its going on 3 months now and my washer is still not fixed or replaced. Im running out of patience my next step would be to sue. And Im trying to be as humble about the situation as possible but it seems like they are taking my kindness for weakness. I shouldnt have to pay full rent for a washer thats included in the rent and its not working.

I want to see a 1 bedroom if possible I'm ready with deposit in hand. birthday is Monday and I love the way these apartments look. GORGEOUS...JUST BEAUTIFUL VIEW:)

I actually love living here! My husband and I have recently gotten married; I just graduated college and have not yet found a job in BR, so The Elysian Apartments have provided us a decent 2BR apartment for a really decent price. It's based off of your income, so it's perfect for the two of us. I really don't have any major complaints - just that our kitchen sink was broken (still functioning) when we first moved in, and it took the staff a while to get to it, but it's fixed now and we've been here a little over a month! Also, the laundry closet was pretty nasty, with the previous tenants' old socks and such thrown about as well as trash and dirt. We called to have it maintained, and it was never seen about - but, no big deal; we ended up cleaning it. Also, the shower curtain pole in the main bathroom is nasty, with scum build up. My electronic key thingy to get into the buildings never works! I've had them reprogram it twice, but it still will not allow me entry - no big deal, though, because there's always at least one door that isn't locked. Besides these few minor issues, the apartment is really nice! The 2BR has plenty of space for 2-3, maybe even 4 people if it's 2 couples. I love it; it's cozy; I love our balcony; the walls are solid - can't hear neighbors. Friendly atmosphere. Love how it came equipped with major appliances. We're 1.5 months into our lease, and I love it! I foresee us renewing the lease next year :) great first apartment for newlyweds! Also - it's a SAFE environment with security cams. Plenty of parking space for tenants + guests. Oh! One more minor complaint - the elevator is really slow haha... very content living here :)

I lived at the Elysian for two years (2015-2017) and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was always very responsive and helpful, the common areas clean, and maintenance issues were usually fixed quickly. Location-wise it is easy to walk to downtown, and it isn't far from Spanish Town Market for a quick bite to eat. I always felt safe living there and I highly recommend it! (also, if you work in Northern Baton Rouge, you get to miss all the traffic on the 10!)

I chose to stay at the elysian apartments because i work downtown and needed a place close by to live. I love living here. I enjoy the free morning coffee they now offer every morning. Mrs.T in the office is friendly and helpful. She is always smiling. The maintenance guy came out to fix our a/c after the office closed.

I have been a resident at the Elysian for 3 years now and the change in management was the best decision they could have done. Because the old office people was not friendly! But I like The new property manager Mrs. T she is so friendly and helpful! She is always doing things for us tenants like after school snacks for our kids and coffee for the adults in the morning. She treats us like family and at the same time do not tolerate foolishness. I also want to mention my A/c was out and I called the emergency line and the maintenance guy came out at 9pm and fixed it for me on a Saturday! Then came by the next day to make sure it was still working good. I would recommend the Elysian apartments to anyone who is looking for a place to stay.
