This community is AMAZING! The Managers are always attentive and willing to assist at all times. In addition the location is phenomenal downtown in 3 minutes, night life, new restaurants as well as festivals and the Farmers Market is the best every Saturday offering fresh produce and more! Jarana & Tamara both are very professional and makes living at the Elysian the best experience ever! I love the fact that its brand new and not to mention fabulous spacious bedrooms with very large full size bathrooms and 9ft celilings. These apartments are worth every penny $800 for a two bedroom downtown is like a dream come true considering a lot of other places downtown are over $2,000 monthly for the same square footage! 5 Stars to the Elysian because the fact of it being near the State Capital makes it super safe as well another plus!
I moved into a rent controlled unit at the Elysian five years ago. I reported a pay increase to the front office, as per the rental agreement, and was told basically to not put anything in writing because they would have to redo all of the paperwork which was too much of a hassle. After word got out that the Elysian was not upholding the income standards I was asked to finally submit the increase in my income and move to a new unit.
My new apartment has been lived in before and upon move in we noticed significant cracks in the drywall around the corners all around the buildIng. The new apartment also brought on a slew of issues with the air conditioning. Our AC unit was breaking at least once a month so unfortunately every time we called the front office we needed something fixed. Ebony, the new assistant manager, was rude and unhelpful almost every time we called. On a few occasions, when I was following up because no action was taken, she lied and said we had never reported problems. At this time I started writing down every interaction I had with the office. Even after that she still went on and ignored certain requests, saying nothing was ever reported. It came to the point that we had to give written notice that we were with holding our rent until all of the issues with the apartment were fixed. Again Ebony said we never discussed Any of these and I had to go to her managers supervisor to get everything fixed. After this the office staff because even more rude and unwilling to help, which I didnt think was possible.
The Elysian was my Home for five years and It was becoming increasingly uncomfortable to even walk by the office while the staff was there. I wasnt going to pay $1000 a month to live in an apartment where the people who were there to help me made me feel terrible and wereunwilling to help with the issues I had. More lying ensued once we moved out but it wasnt even worth fighting these people anymore.
Ive only aeen the property online, ive left several messages and no one has returned my calls. Its been months. The communication is lackluster. It's a huge turn off bc I wonder if this is how the communication will be if something happens to go wrong on the property.
