I lived at the Regency Club in Baton Rouge for 15 months. At first it seemed great, cheap, and allowed my dogs. But then things started going wrong- mold in my closet, drawers breaking, disposal breaking, security gate breaking, gym equipment out of order etc. the problems were with the maintence crews getting these things fixed. The maintenance crews were awesome, but spread very thin. And when you went to the main office, they were typically rude and couldnt handle what was going on. While i understand the gym and gates were amenities that werent covered by rent, we still chose to live at this complex instead of others because of some of these amenities. My disposal didnt get fixed until the apartment below me complained of a smell. The mold didnt get fixed right the first time and came back with a vengeance. Plus when I moved out, I didnt get a lick of my deposit back and was told I owed money- which was fine, my dogs were bad- but trying to reach anyone to discuss it was awful. It took me weeks to get ahold of the person in charge of these things, and he was not friendly at all. I started out the phone call pleasant and by the end I was cursing. All in all, wouldnt recommend living in any complex involved with 1st Lake.
Parking is hard to find after dark, no one cleans up after their dog, stray cats everywhere, have had my A/C go out 3 times in the last 2 months, once for a week.
Dont move here. We initially moved here when this place was under the old management. They were amazing but since management has changed ( a couple of times). The property was gross, they had couches behind the dumpsters for over a year. Tons of cats roaming the property, and questionable people in and out of the parking lot. The apartment we stayed in constantly had water leaks and would reek of mildew for weeks after. They treat all of your concerns like they never fdont matter. For a while maintenance would enter you home without you knowing they were there. We complained numerous times until they finally started leaving slips. We also had maintenance open our door while we were home without knocking or announcing himself (which almost turned out bad). Needless to say this place is not worth it! They have a gym, but none of the equipment works. The business center is an outdated computer that never seems to work. Just dont move here. I hope l can save one person the disappointment,
