Terrible place to live. Management is here for nothing. They do not help with noise, A/C outages, ect. The other tenants are rude, nasty, they leave trash everywhere, they damage property. They children run through the parking lot at all times of the night, making it difficult for adults to drive through the parking lot. The units are infested with both roaches and rats. The front office does little to try to get rid of these problems. They mix up eviction notices, the list goes on. By far the worst place I've ever lived.
Trashy & Most Ignorant Apartments In Baton Rouge . I Would Rather Live In A Shotgun House In The Hood Before I Move In Here , The Apartments Are Nice But The Ignorance In The Complex Itself Is Not Worth It , It Will Turn Into The Projects Very Soon & Very Fast ....
I am an older lady and peace is very important to me at this stage in my life. I feel that I made the worst mistake of my life moving here. There is no peace. Kids running up and down the stairs at all hours. Loud music from the parking lot all the time. People hanging in the parking lot talking loud and cussing with no respect. My biggest problem is the people that live above me. Theres a kid that runs, jumps and loud thumps incessantly. I have complained to the office multiple times. I was told there was nothing they could do because they have the right to peacefull living so evidently I dont. They claimed they put a note on her door. I dont believe it cause nothing has changed. They told me to go up there and confront her. I said no because I dont feel thats safe. They also told me to call the police. The lease states that undue noise is grounds for eviction not that I would want anybody evicted but at least make it known to her. Dont get me started on the trash all over the stairs and garbage cans. I hate it here. Will not renew my lease. Cant wait to get away from here. They even credited my rent one month to somebody elses apartment and put a note on my door that I was late with my rent.
The apartments are very nice but not that nice. Management is not that effective in communication unless they are threatening to evict you. A resident can be evicted at any time and for anything. There is a lot of section 8 recipients and older folks here and that is not a good mix when you prefer to live some place quiet, decent and with class. In the beginning of my lease the price was set and locked in but just before my lease is up (we receive a letter stating that the rent goes up to $845 for two bed rooms and no explanation, upon renewal of lease). A $40 hike. I will not renew. Good luck to any potential residents. Oh and every comment from any current and former residents have some truth to it.
Criminal activity in the area is outrageous.
The complex is advertised as a gated community but gates are left open to public, non-residents, and criminals. Per office staff "technically any one can get in the gate if they wanted".
Well the purpose of a gated community is to limit that kind of traffic. (Especially if tenants are paying for these amenities) Cars are being vandalized and unfortunately they can care less.
As advertised, tenants would be able to pay rent electronically. Wait on it.
Fitness room is only available for use during office hours. I don't think they realize some of their tenants actually work real jobs, actually between the hours of 8-5. So convenient!
The office staff .. let's just say you'll find better customer service at McDonalds.
Some great advice to Port Royal Apartments ; Hire a police officer for duty overnight!!!
I promise you will recruit more tenants to fill the many vacant three bedrooms you have available.
Think long and hard before committing to a year's lease here!
