Oakleigh Apartments

8 minutes ago I like living at Oakleigh Apartments. It's a location near everything important, priced right for my budget, professional manager and staff on site. I have a one bedroom efficiency apartment. Moved in Nov 2017, still here in July 2019. The property sold to a west coast company but the manager and staff are local. I've been happy here for many reasons. It's very quiet in my building, neighbors are very respectful. Be sure to check the crime map for Baton Rouge, there is none in this area. Since I moved in, they have put on new roofs, hired even better staff, done many little things that make a difference. The poor reviews for these apartments are inaccurate and unfair.

It is a nice complex compared to its location. But the rent is to high, especially for tenants who has been here for 10 + years. They need to have those tenants rent at a set base rate. Loyal tenants need top priority. Need to have a maintenance person that will fix repairs and repairs are not timely addressed by office staff. The owner of this property need to come out and have a meeting in person with the residents here.

My fiance and myself plan on moving here in September when our lease ends. We liked the location but even more we like how we were treated here and already feel at home.

The apartment complex is really quiet,clean,sometimes i have to go oitside to see if anybody lives here besides me its so quiet.The only time you see people if you going to work in the morning.I love the staff.The ladies are really on there job when it comes to making there tenants feel welcome.The maintenance men are outstanding anytime you call the office for maintenance they are always on time and they do a wonderful job.I Love the location i can walk outside of my apartment aat anytime night or day and i feel safe.The place is never noisy always quiet so anybody who looking for a safe and secure place to live this is it.

Peaceful environment and it's located in the business district

Update April 2024: I'm still living here, it's a safe place. Seems like everything is within 5 miles. The only downside is no bus stops close enough to walk to, due to local businesses lobbying the city to remove them. I've had a good experience here for 7 years. I have been a vendor for Oakleigh and many of their properties in their portfolio. I can tell you this company cares about each of their tenants and takes extreme pride in maintaining their properties. They address any issues that come up promptly. They are extremely professional, when you call for management you actually get to talk with someone on the property that are as knowledgeable if not more than some contractors. The management team is always courteous and will go out of their way to help take care of their residents concerns or needs. The property is in a great location as well with numerous places to shop, dine, movie theater, and whatever else you could think of within a quick 2-5 minute drive. If you are looking for a great place to reside Oakleigh is the place.

Absolutely wonderful complex and amazing staff. The proximity to everything is unparalleled and the prices are such a great value for what is offered. I’ve never lived anywhere that felt more like home than living here. Your home should be your sanctuary and that is exactly what the manager Kelly and her staff have created, a safe haven where I feel comfortable to be myself and be at peace.

The staff is Great and have always taken care of an issue for me in a timely manner. Oakleigh is in a great location featuring malls near by, wonderful restaurants to choose from. The grounds are kept nicely trimmed and clean.

I moved home to Baton Rouge and needed a short term lease while looking for a house. This is an affordable and quiet community. The management is very responsive and do their best to fix the problems in the units. The previous tenant in my apartment had been there for 10 years or so- so there were lots of issues that had to be addressed. They even sent someone out on Thanksgiving day to fix a toilet that was old and leaking. With this complex you will not get granite or other fancy amenities, but you will get a clean quiet home and rest assured the management will take good care of the property. I highly recommend this complex!

The complex mgr Kelly is always very pleasant and professional. A beautiful property as well.
