They said they had open apartments. Turn in my paperwork. No apartments. Why lie...?
For the most part it has been a good experience. Older buildings though, so possibility of pipe problems but maintenance is on top of it ASAP. The staff have been nothing but friendly.
Its cheap for a reason but still not worth the price which they recently raised. Every time I have to deal with the office or maintenance people I get a head ache. I would not recommend it and I will be moving out ASAP.
Honestly if I could give less than 1 star I would. I am so happy that I was finally able to get out of there. Maintenance is terrible. Office staff is even worse! READ THE REVIEWS, this is something that I wish I had done. The buildings are infested with mice & they dont care because mice arent on there list of urgency (told to me by the office manager). They left a dead mouse in the hallway for a week ! It is just terrible
Im a friend of a resident. I have been visiting my friend off and on. Roughly over a year. I have seen my friend complain not only once but several times about different situations. One was after a few weeks of being here her ceiling fell in. Took them almost two weeks to even send anyone out to fix the problem. They just wanted to patch the hole and call it a day. Well once the company they hired came they found mold in the dry wall. It took another two weeks. Then a few months ago we where sitting in the living room and we noticed a mice we reported it ASAP. We caught the mice and left it under a bowl in the hallway. We took pictures day in and day out. The mouse sat in the hall for about 5 days before coming to get it. Its not about how you handle the situation it the time and the manor of how its done. I understand that Barkley has other tenants that they provide service to as well. When you constantly call and leave voicemails with no response. Your needs seem to feel as if they are unnoticed. I would never want to treat anyone that pays where they live like they arent important. After a year of my friend being a Barkley ridge. Maybe one late fee on her rent. No damages to the apartment. No complaints from other tenants. Havent caused any commotion throughout the complex. I feel the way she was asked to vacate the premises was absolutely horrible for someone who has made Barkley ridge they home. I even encountered a conversation with one of the staff members an she was very rude. I was always taught to get respect you give it. I would never carried myself in a manor that she did. Rhonda was her name. I feel if you take time to understand and treat your tenants like they are family Barkley Ridge would be a great place to call home.
