I had never been to Kentucky before I moved here to Louisville for work. And, River Oak is the first and only place I have lived in the three years I have been here, so far. Just like Louisville as a whole, this apartment community has been a terrific surprise. It's a pleasant, updated, clean and respectfully quiet place to live. Ideally located between the riverfront, downtown, the malls and shopping, and tons of great restaurants. There are many community activities to get involved with, especially if a holiday is happening. And, the management staff is always very friendly and professional, and willing to help you however they can. It's just a great place to live.
River Oak is a nice place to live. The grounds are nicely landscaped and pets are allowed. The response time for any maintenance request is very quick and they are always polite and friendly. Amenities include a tennis court, a pool, and a fitness center.
By far the worst place Ive ever lived. First of all the price is outrageous for what you get. The only thing you get here is good location. Management of the property is terrible and there are hardly any valuable ammenities at all. They charge 3.75 just to do a single load of laundry. One of the maintenance staff is unbelievably rude. Management also threatened to charge me 300 dollars for my service dog that I have for my disability (which I could not afford since Im paying their outrageous rent) No utilities are included, apartment is very outdated (most apartments here are not displayed on the internet like the very few updated apartments are). There is only one washer and one dryer per building and its on the top floor. Overall, I wouldnt definitely not recommend living here. You can get a far nicer apartment for the same price in a different area.
I wish my experience could be good but unfortunately this move has been a complete headache, outside contributors as well. Love the location though
I love living at River Oak! It's quiet, I feel safe and the location is close to all the hospitals and school. I wish that the apartments had newer features but overall I'm happy with my living situation.
