I am a new resident of the community, as well as new to the Louisville area in general, but my experience with the staff has been nothing but excellent. When searching for an apartment while moving, the leasing agent Malina was a big influence in my final decision, because not only was she courteous during my tour of the premises, but answered all my questions knowledgeably and confidently, even when she knew the answer may not be 100% to my liking. To date, the maintenance crew has been very responsive in addressing the issues I noted on my move-in paperwork, and when they couldn't complete a job right away, they proactively communicated what they needed to do (e.g., order parts to fix our hall light which wasn't working on move-in). I also appreciate how multicultural the Mallgate community is, not only in the staff but the residents as well.

Showed me an apartment that was not mine then moved into an apartment that was nasty. The apartment building is/was infested with roaches and all the apartments in the building had them. The office staff is a joke saying they don't remember anything when you clearly spoke to them about the issues. Mold growing in the celling and on the walls the staff would say that its from the past tenants and not even look. This place is horrible.

My husband and I moved in September 2010 and left December 2016. We loved the apartment but had to leave because of the management staff. 2010, our experience with maintenance crews was good. A change in ownership and management brought numerous problems. The final straw for us was when we wintered in Florida, but continued to send our rent payments EARLY. They towed our pickup truck that was parked near our building, and refused to pay the towing charge! I decided not to sue because we moved out to another state and would not be able to come back for court appearances. We would still be there if they had treated us better.
