Ratings & Reviews
Overall Ratings
(3 Ratings)Following up on a previous review here, I can definitely confirm that this is NOT an apartment complex that I would recommend! Don't let the pretty updates fool you...this building is old, run down, and has had several issues during my short stay. Supposedly this is a former public housing building that has never had the updates necessary to be a healthy place to live...
I started getting sick in my initial unit after only a few months...Upon doing some research, all symptoms lead to MOLD! After testing I found that the moisture levels in the dry walls were alarmingly high. Come to find out, the two units below me had flooded and had severe water damage! The property manager was prompt and helpful at the time, and urgently moved us out of the unit, but did not admit to any health and safety issues (DENY, DENY, DENY!).
The SECOND unit we were moved to was on the other side of the building and on a different floor, AWAY from the previous water damages that we knew of (So should be fine, right?!?!...NOPE!). I continued to get sicker and sicker, from brain fog, nausea/vomiting, skin rashes, and more... We found mold on my our clothes in the closet (GROSSSSS) and began searching around, only to find a mysterious puddle of water on one of our storage bins in the closet and MOLDY AC Units. The Property Manager had a mold testing agency come and complete a report, of which we were told we would receive results in 48 hours. Two weeks later, and they have been dodging our calls (we've called several times daily with no response, then called from a separate # and they answered immediately) and haven't sent us update emails despite having the report, because it has to "go through the proper channels". If there weren't any issues, I'm positive that it would be confirmed by now!
If you have any sensitivity to mold, or are concerned about the effects of mold, DO NOT MOVE HERE!

I have searched far and wide for any reviews on this complex and haven't found any but I feel I need to put this out there. I would absolutely not recommend living here. This apartments are marketed as "luxury" but are far from it! The price is decent for a "luxury apartment" right in the Highlands, and the location is great! However the pros end there.
The first thing is that per the lease you are required to use only one internet/satellite provider, who may be the worst company in the world, who charge for $44.99 per month for a pitiful 15mbps download speed, IF you get that much.
The laundry room has been broken into multiple times and people had their clothes stolen.
The mailboxes are not secure and my mail gets wet when it rains.
The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything, that your neighbors do, even conversations at normal volume. They charge you $25 per month for water when each unit is only fitted with a 30 gallon hot water heater, which isn't even enough for me to shower on the days I need to wash my hair. The water is cold before I'm done and I live alone. They also charge you $25 for parking, and claim it is enforced but I have never seen anyone checking the lot and I am positive unregistered cars have parked here.
Bardstown Road is regularly blocked for parades and festivals and randoms decide it's cool to hang out inside the fence and put up lawn chairs near your car too.
Finally, I have had the police knock on my door twice in just the past 2 months for no reason at all. The first time I was jolted awake at 5:30am and was told the person who called was "confused." The second time the person reported screaming in the area which may or may not have been my TV (normal volume), like I said, you can hear EVERYTHING through these walls. I have heard SO MANY things I never wanted to hear in my life. I have only lived here for 3 months and I already can't wait to move out. I have had more problems here than I did in the past 4 years at my old place.
