I am a former resident at Charlestown of Douglas Hills Apartments and the staff: Natalie,DeeAnn,Tony,Downie,Chris are very caring and go the extra mile. I had to relocate out of town to Owensboro,KY otherwise I would still be there,I would totally recommend. I miss everyone there very much as over the years they became family to me, I was a resident for over four years and I would go back there to live in a heartbeat! Thank you for the opportunity to write a review on there behalf.
Living in Charlestown Apartments since the fall of 2014 until the fall of 2017, has been one of the best decisions I have made for my family.
This is a great place to raise a family considering the quick 3 min drive to Middletown Elementary, a walking distance to enjoy beautiful sunsets at Crosby Park and the best staff I've work with in the apartment leasing business.
I honestly have thank God several times for this place as it has met all our needs in regards to location, size, laundry, good neighbors and a committed staff that has consistently met our needs in real sensitive ways.
It is out of a grateful heart that I have taken the time to write this review. As a former Quality Assurance Coordinator who cherishes truth, transparency and integrity, I commend you to this beautiful and peaceful great place to live.
Great staff and strong customer service skills from office staff (accommodating) to maintenance team (quick). Lots of amenities at Charlestown Apartments and you cannot beat the location. Safe, fun and never any issues in my 4 years here as a tenant.
Pool never open or lifeguard late. We were told as well as other tenants that certain things "could not be fixed," or "It's not in the budget." Ridiculous. VERY outdated. Management staff does bare minimum. Does not care about tenants safety or health. Mold continually developing in our kitchen from the upstairs bathroom, was told by maintenance that "it just happens" in all the town homes and they can't really do much, so this will be the second time they will come and patch it up, been waiting two weeks for that. Mice in our building. Tenants in the building all complaining of mice. I've caught 4. Next door has caught 3. Leaves droppings daily under our kitchen sink, in our oven drawer, and in the downstairs closet under the stairs. We no longer keep anything in those three places, which limits storage space. We stay for the school district, but we've hit a breaking point. Absolutely unacceptable. The one perk, the pool, is always dirty, which is funny since they are closed on Mondays for "Pool Cleaning and Maintenance." Charlestown of Douglass Hills puts a lot of money into their outside appearance to get people in, but indoors, it's disgraceful. You'd think an east end complex in the heart of Douglass Hills would care more about the condition of their homes, but sadly, they do not.

A resident who lives at the property and has completed a resident satisfaction survey.
Advertising properties provide a list of email addresses of its residents to Kingsley Associates, a third party market research firm, who then sends out the satisfaction survey to the residents. Shelbyville Road east toward Middletown. Approximately 1.5 miles eastbound past Hurstbourne Lane. Turn right into Douglass Hills and follow our signs. From I-64 take 17 North Blankenbaker to the dead end (Shelbyville Road) and turn left. We are about one block down on the left.
