THIS IS THE WORST PLACE YOU COULD PICK TO LIVE IN LEXINGTON!!!! They obviously cheap out on their budget when it comes to cleaning because the hall ways are disgusting and will have trash sitting in the elevator for weeks. You can never get a hold of management on the phone or if you go to their office. They also have really bad roommate matching. I have a neighbor who was living with a convicted criminal because they don't do background checks here. Every other place I've heard of does back ground checks but you can see in bold on my lease it states that they don't. The office staff is always super rude and never knows anything when you have questions. I was supposed to get a $200.00 gift card when I signed my lease and it's been 7 months later and i still haven't received it and no one can tell me why. They keep saying that they're under new management put the office is ran worst than ever. This company need to stop worrying about renovations and focus on hiring better managers. I've cried so many times over the fact I'm stuck in a lease with these people and there is no way to even buy out of my contract which is also unusual compared to every other apartment complex in Lexington. Whatever you do, don't even tour here. It's nothing but lies and they will trap you in a lease.
Living in this apartment complex was one of the worst decisions I ever made. The manager Danielle is unprofessional and flaky. The move out date for my lease was July 31st, I had left one weekend to drop off some of my stuff to make room for another trip in my car and on July 27th The Lex had entirely cleared the rest of my apartment (without informing me, and no I did not tell them I was ready to move out). Apparently the staff was so organized that they mixed up my apartment with another persons room who was actually ready to move out. They threw away hundreds of dollars of food, toiletries, cleaning supplies AND took my TV. You would think that the staff would be able to notice that I clearly wasnt ready to move out and give me a call right? Nope. They just took all my stuff and threw away most of it and didnt think once to even contact me. To make it even worse, the men who cleared my apartment left urine in the toilet that left a foul smell throughout the entire apartment. I spoke to Kylie at the office who called Danielle about my situation and I was told to make an itemized list of all my stolen/trashed items, send it to Danielles email and that I would receive a full refund for the amount. I did so the day after the incident and Danielle never responded or replied. I sent the email again. She never responded. I called MANY times and she conveniently happened to not be in the office every single time. SIX months later I am still playing phone tag with her. This is the 3rd or 4th time she claims to have mailed my check yet I have not received anything. Every time I ask for Danielles manager she refuses to give me their contact information. The management at The Lex is terrible. For the entire year I lived there, week after week there was constant trash and, often times, puke in the stairwell. My roommate and I kept our apartment spotless, yet they found ways to charge us at the end of the least for unnecessary things. Dont sign a lease here.
