Good outdoor scenery. Disadvantage? No washer/dryers in units
Lived at TW from 2006 thru 2014 in 3 different apartments. The apts are large, spacious and well appointed. They are old (1970's decor and with sometimes serious plumbing problems); had toilet back up twice, waterfall from upstairs thru bathroom loosing ceiling (it was a mess), lower level residents had water into their apts thru patio doors due to poor drainage in sewer opening outside doors for rainwater. Maint is pretty responsive at office's direction. Office staff are competent. Lake is wonderful. "Curb appeal" is outstanding and well cared for. Windows and doors are probably still being replaced one by one; had snow on my bedroom window sill once. Had lots of GREAT neighbors at Porter bldg and in elevator bldg. Hope elevators have been repaired and are no longer plagued with issues that prevented them from working periodically at 1818. Pools are wonderful, hope the office is able to keep up with keeping them clean and sanitary (were problems in 2013 and 2014 with mold and just plainly dirty at 1818). Hope there is more than one paddle boat available again and the pontoon boat is working and available for residents. Birds abound; people pick up after their dogs (outstanding!!). The club rooms are very nice and the office is helpful to provide tables and chairs for large gatherings. Electric bills were reasonable for the most part. Fireplace is just such a nice addition to the apt. Laundry facilities are adequate and spacious. Additional storage is GREAT!!.
We have lived here for a short time and have experienced nothing but the best. Our home was completely ready at move in and the move in process professional and smooth. The home is quiet, scenic and secure. The neighbors are friendly and inclusive. The pools, exercise room and lake pontoon boats are handy, clean and well maintained. I enjoy sitting on the deck watching the lake fowl life. Relaxing. In addition, all shopping needs are readily available. Excellent!
