What Renters Like and Dislike About Mission

Great parks nearby. Festivals for crafts, and a farmer's market. Lots of public art in several places.

I walk everyday around the neighborhood and nearby trails with a friend from down the street. I also have many small mom and pop shops that I am able to frequent.

Everyone knows most people.we do our best to work together. Hoping that everyone feel safe and protected.

I like that there are options and things to do around here. Tons of places to eat, go shopping, take walks, etc.

I like the local bars and restaurants. They're hidden treasures. I enjoy going out with my family and friends.

All About

Living in Mission, KS

Some people may ultimately decide upon an apartment in the Kansas City area because of its proximity to their job, access to public transportation, budgetary matters or because of the breakfast diner that sits on the end of the street. However, others entertain even more ideological concerns, and since climate control has become a topic of national and international interest over the past decade, making sustainability an interest of the entire community may just win over a few residents. Those who are looking to rent an apartment near Kansas City, and also working to reduce their ecological footprint on the region are encouraged to check out apartments in Mission, Kansas.

As those with Mission apartments likely know, the city has become a member of the national Mayor's Climate Protection Agreement, which is an agenda that promotes the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by U.S. cities. To the delight of many residents with Mission apartments, city officials have already shown that they are intent on actively enforcing the provisions of the agreement. Mission made headlines recently when it employed a carbon-offset program and rejected proposals by developers to build a Wal-Mart within the city.

The natural environment in the city has always been prized. Present-day Mission apartments now sit on the land that was once occupied by rest stops that accommodated wagons following the Santa Fe Trail to the west in the 19th Century. In those days, horses and voyagers would stop to collect drinking water from the crystal-clear springs which have been preserved to the present day, in large part due to environmental efforts.
